Bathroom was really dingy....lots of dark stains and hard water stains around the shower, and water kept flowing into the rest of bathroom. The shower/bathroom was poorly designed with floor pitching away from the shower, and there is no lip/edge to prevent water from just flowing out of the shower into the rest of the bathroom. I Asked Front desk to at least fix or change out the shower head so I could stand a little further away to reduce this "flooding" of the bathroom. After a whole day out, I came back to see really nothing was done, even though front desk lady said "it was fixed", and I asked if anyone actually even entered the room, and she said she didn't know!! How do u "fix a shower" without entering the room? I know tech is progressing fast, but so far(thankfully) there are no e-showers just yet that can get a wifi update! LOL! I flatly asked the lady if they just tell people whatever to make them go away, and she said no blah blah...I said thanks for your time and left it at that. After the 2 days, I came back to find a new shower head! So, clearly the 1st "it's all fixed" response on day1 was not correct. It's insulting to my intelligence if Le Meridien staff think I will NOT know the difference! We kept having to mop up the water after every shower and dry the tower and repeat at next shower use. Property shows its age. Usually, outside the US, Marriott hotels are absolutely awesome...this one, with the dingy bathroom, is NOT.

Inadequate central AC, otherwise great

This is a splendid hotel with a fantastic view, and a lovely treat basket awaited our arrival. Unfortunately, although the balcony level has air conditioning, it was wholly inadequate for days with temperatures above 26°C/80°F. It proved challenging to sleep at night, which is not what one expects for such an expensive room. A more localized AC unit, not inadequate central air, is needed. The brunch is very nice.

Great, central location yet quiet. Staff was friendly, room was clean with plenty of amenities. Highly walkable area yet close to public transportation, museums. Would stay again, no question.

This is a nice hotel in a central location, close to public transportation and walkable to all attractions. It is a very busy hotel and the staff is doing a good job to help everyone. The room is spacious, however, the beds are of European style, meaning, they placed two double beds together for me and my husband to sleep. The third bed for our child is very flimsy. The room is not terribly up to date, however, my biggest issue with the room is its air conditioning system. Each time the a/c was turned on, it caused us to sneeze. It is likely the a/c duct hadn’t been cleaned properly and harbored allergens. As it was summer and a heat wave was present, we had no choice but to turn on the a/c. Other than that, this was a good hotel for visiting Vienna.

The location is great. The staff were very friendly. The room was not as described and not as it looked in the picture. The air conditioning in the room wasn’t working. It was during a heat wave in vienna. We asked for it to be fixed and they claim it was fixed and that air conditioning in vienna is not that great because it’s often not used. After two days we just gave up and sucked it up. Won’t stay there again

Things were generally good but I paid for a room with queen bed and view. Instead got two twin beds and 1/2 view. And I was there on time, actually early. I was too tired to ask for another room when I arrived, but regretted not demanding the queen bed as the single bed was quite uncomfortable.
