Love that we booked this place for a night as we make our way around Iceland. Staff at the front desk was super nice, they have a laundry service for a fee but it’s convenient and they provide you a bag and depending on when you drop it off you could get it that evening or on your way to breakfast. Excited for the free breakfast buffet in the morning after eating at the hotel restaurant for dinner. They have the option of a dinner buffet on the menu and the options are amazing. The price might seem steep but try to get apps, salad, entree, and dessert for that same price in town. Wait staff was great. Room is spacious, bed is comfortable, good blackout curtains. Would recommend!

We liked the dry sauna, hot tub was fun but very busy so we couldn’t go in. 8 people max. There’s a gym on the property. The view was beautiful from any room. The people were all friendly and took an interest in our travels!

First room smelled like sewage. During the stay the staff was indifferent and manager treated me with such disrespect and rudeness for asking for Togo coffee cups. She tried to make it right after I approached her at check out but still ridiculous. $400 spends much better somewhere else.

A decent value but I'd stay elsewhere next time.

Definitely the most disappointing hotel we stayed at during a week in Iceland. The campus is a bit reminiscent of an upscale summer camp, a mid-level college dormitory quad, or a prison farm. Room as large but satisfactory.

Updated. Spacious room. Mini Fridge in room was a big plus. Quiet. Cost: $285 US for a standard room. Nice view from window. That included breakfast. It was the best breakfast we had on the trip.

Excellent property. Beautiful views. Staff is phenomenal. Great breakfast. Convenient location, while being far enough away from Vik to be picturesque and quiet. Only complaint, is same as most hotels in Iceland, very warm in rooms at night in the summer (no airflow either). You can’t open the windows because of the bugs in this more rural area (no screens like elsewhere in Europe). And windows barely open anyways (I’m sure that’s for safety). We’re from hot steamy Florida and found sleeping here quite hard due to the warmth in the room. Otherwise - amazing place; I’d definitely stay here again.

Website shows there is a pool but there is not. Overall, we enjoyed our room and our stay. The bathroom is crazy tiny, no shampoo/conditioner, and no place to put it if you bring your own. Shower curtain is useless, and the entire bathroom floor was wet after showering. We only stayed one night so not a huge deal. Any longer and it would have been an issue. Dinner and breakfast were great, and staff all seemed very nice.
