The ceiling fan in the main room was a touch noisy and the bathroom fan operates in tandem with the light switch which I only mention because I found the cabin to be a touch toasty which may not be the case for all guests. All in all the cabin was perfectly adequate
The grounds are beautiful and well maintained.
The breakfast room was well stocked and the staff were pleasant. Would consider returning in the future.
Great location. Friendly staff. Very good breakfast. Very good bathroom. Beds were ok on the comfort level however without a/c it was a bit muggy. Biggest challenge was with mosquitos. If you stay here, do yourself a favor and don’t leave your door open for a second more than required to get your bags in. The expression “If you think you’re too small to make a difference, spend a night in a dark room with a mosquito” applies here. I spent hours with the light on just to try killing them, but more kept getting in. Slept little.
Ok. I am giving this a VERY high score. Now, keep in mind that this is a very uninhabited part of Newfoundland. The biggest town is 30 mins away and is 2000 people. It is close to L'Anse Aux Meadows and St. Anthony's, and they could phone it in and give reasonable accommodations...but they don't. The rooms are clean and comfortable...and the view from rooms 7 to 12 is truly INCREDIBLE. We absolutely loved our time there. Well worth it. Great place, great people. Book it.

Quiet restful clean friendly owners.
Private nice view from the firepit
Quaint out of the way property with seaside view. Only thing we didn’t like were the four mosquitoes we killed in our room after a night of swatting them away.
We really enjoyed our stay. Comfortable bed, a great continental breakfast and very quiet which we enjoyed. Close to shows which we enjoyed. Would stay again for sure
I did not ended up going. On July 17, my wife got transferred from Gander’s hospital to the Health science center in St-John’s N L in the ICU where she’s in right now
On thé 18 I called the hotel and I’ve spoken to the owner who said he would credit my staying.
On thé 21st I called back since I’d not seen any credit on my credit card only to be told that the hotel could not refund as he reservation had been made thru Expedia.
The only way I could get in touch with Expedia was thru a chat with AI which answered me that the actual charges were $185 cancellation fees$185 refund 0
Due to the current situation with my wife who has’nt woken up yet, I can’t tell you how frustrated I am with both the midge for not telling they could not refund me and with Expedia for having me deal with a machine

This property was tranquil, beautiful oceanfront. Very nicely cabin style newer finished suites. Very clean. Great area for the included breakfast also with beauty view. Wish we could have stayed longer than one night. It was even nicer than the pictures.
We drove through some potholes on the highway and blew a tire. It was getting dark and I got really scared and worried so I phoned the motel and told him where we were. Ted drove 25 minutes and helped us and drove another 25 minutes back. He also provided lots of helpful advice so that we got to get the tire checked up and changed by a garage the next day. Also, the view and breakfast there were wonderful. We saw an iceberg right in front of our room! It’s also our pleasure to get to meet the granddog Finny! Thank you so much for the hospitality and kindness! It was a wonderful experience staying with you. We will visit again if we ever go to Pistolet Bay!

We stayed here for two nights while in the L'anse Meadows area. It is in a quiet secluded area and a bit out of the way from L'anse Meadows and St. Anthony. It was about a 20-25 minute drive to St. Anthony where most area restaurants are located. The rooms are very large and a bit rustic (in a good way). We had a large jacuzzi tub which was a very nice touch. The check in and check out process was very good. The continental breakfast was great. The owners were very friendly. Unfortunately it was very cold during our stay so we could not enjoy the wonderful view by the sea that the location offers.
