I loved my stay at City Central Örebro.

The room was clean and comfortable with a microwave, kettle and fridge. There was a ceiling fan which was good during the heat wave. The bed was super comfortable. The personnel were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great with cereals, eggs, bread, cold cuts and veggies. Free coffee and tea in the foyer at all times.

Very convenient for waking to restaurants and center of town sites. Unfortunately the local parking garage was being renovated so I parked at the nearby university parking lot. About 4 min. walk and 5:20pm to 9:20 am parking was under 8 USD. Ticket machine is electronic, chose language, tap credit card, enter vehicle license plate, verify plate, add time you want to park, verify time, tap card again and done. I go through this long explanation because the hotel has no parking and this should not be a huge negative. When I looked for a hotel with free parking one was on the edge of town and more expensive. Free breakfast is standard Scandinavian fare of boiled egg, breads, deli meat, cereals, yogurt …etc.

The room was fine not many channels on the tv to choose from the twin beds were very comfortable . The heater didn't work so they had a space heater. The shower was quite messy the door only covered part of the bathroom so we had to put towels down on the floor so the water wouldn't go every where. Very dangerous walking on wet tile so we used the towels to soak up the water in front of the sink. The staff were very friendly we came down 5 min after breakfast closed the food was still out they let us have breakfast which was very nice of them to do they even asked us if we wanted eggs.

Good basic hotel

This is a relatively inexpensive hotel - the facilities are fairly basic, but it is clean, convenient and quiet. We enjoyed the Orebro region very much - and the hotel had a nice central location. It isn't fancy, but met all our needs.

Besviken på frukosten och servicen

Jag hade förväntat mig mer av hotellvistelsen, men tyvärr levde det inte upp till förväntningarna – framför allt när det gäller frukosten. Den var väldigt medelmåttig. Äggen var okokta, och många klassiska frukostinslag saknades helt, som bacon, köttbullar, sill, melon, flera sorters bröd, pannkakor eller våfflor. Det kändes varken genomtänkt eller generöst. Servicen i receptionen lämnade också en del att önska. Vi bad om att få låna glas att ta med upp till rummet, men det nekades utan vidare förklaring. Det är små saker som detta som sammantaget gör att helhetsintrycket blir svagt. Tyvärr inget jag skulle rekommendera eller återvända till i första taget.
