One Star – Lied About the Pool and Refused to Cancel I booked this hotel through Expedia specifically because it said it had a pool, which was the only reason I stopped after driving ten hours with kids. Before booking, I even called the hotel directly and asked when the pool closed. The man said 10 p.m. every night. So I booked it at 6 p.m. through Expedia. When I arrived, there were signs everywhere saying the pool had been shut down for two days already and would stay closed for three more. No one told me that on the phone, and it wasn’t listed on Expedia either. I immediately told the front desk I wanted to cancel, and the woman rudely told me I had to do it through Expedia. But Expedia wouldn’t let me cancel because it was after 3 p.m. check-in—even though I didn’t even book the room until 6 p.m. I went back in and asked the woman to cancel it on her end. My name was clearly on the screen, and I hadn’t checked in. She flat-out refused and acted like I was lying about calling earlier, even after I showed her I called the correct number. Thankfully, I had bought the $5 trip insurance and spent half an hour on the phone with them. After they contacted the hotel directly, suddenly it could be canceled. So yes—they could have canceled it all along. They just didn’t want to. Terrible experience, rude staff, and shame on Expedia for not allowing a cancellation for a service that wasn’t even available. If I hadn’t bought the insurance, I would’ve been completely out of luc

Not a clean hotel

The pool was drained so that was disappointing. The property outside had trash laying everywhere. Hotel room was dirty we did find bugs and wrappers on the floor in the room. The bathroom had a spider nest in the corner. There were holes in the walls and garbage behind the beds. The pictures are very deceiving. We actually checked out early and went to a different hotel

Outside looks very run down. Had to change rooms after we arrived after finding underwear on the floor and the room safe sitting on the floor broken off the wall of our original room. Also my daughters were really excited to swim in the pool but when we arrived, the pool was closed down and empty until April 6th.

The room wasn't ready. The inside door knob in the bathroom didn't work. The bed was never made, the toilet seat was falling off. There was no remote for the tv.

Hotel was older and not updated. There was no elevator, which is a major inconvenience for a handicapped person. Bathroom was mostly clean, but toilet wasn't. Upholstered furniture was stained. The telephone in the room had no dial tone, but the desk agent told me it did work. The TV remote would not work, but the desk replaced it and it worked fine after that. The bed was pretty comfortable.

They can do better

Paid extra for the suite, and the 2 person jacuzzi. No water pressure, terrible hot water. It took the jacuzzi over an hour to fill with luke warm water. Dont waste your money.

The toilet was broken and made a filling noise every 5 seconds, floor dirty with last occupants muddy boot prints, main light switch broken. Do not stay here unless any other option. Front desk clerk/manager/owner tossed my key across the desk to me because he was mad I booked with Expedia, rude at check-in and check-out. Raised his voice at me. Completely unacceptable behavior.
