The place was really nice, rooms are clean and the staff is so friendly. The restaurant on site is really nice (Corella Cafe and Lounge), I went to dinner there and our waiter Bianca was just fabulous- customer service was excellent. I would for sure stay here again!
There's just something a little off. It has a nice restaurant and bar. But their people need to recognize how to acknowledge when something is broken and not fight the customer. I had to argue with 2 different people that the ice machine wasn't working and was told "It does but you just have to know how to work it the right way." When I laughed and told someone to come and show me, he came up and put the glass in front of the sensor where it in fact did not dispense ice. But he proceeded to move the glass all around until he found the right spot that 4 pieces of ice spurted out at which time he looked at me with satisfaction. Sorry dude. Your customers have neither the time or desire to sit and figure out how to work an ice machine. Just say "It doesn't work. Can I bring you a bucket from the bar?"
Also, I called down to the front desk to ask whether the people in the offices 20 feet away could see in my room, they assured me you couldn't. Yet as I waved and moved the curtain back and forth I could see the reflection of my room in the glass of the office building. So be careful. Otherwise great metro access and fun restaurants in the neighborhood.
After all the money this hotel made from Trumps inauguration, you’d think they could have extended the convenience of airing it on tv in one of the conference rooms off the bar. I asked a few times and was told that I’d have to pay for the empty room. Ridiculous!
The only reason I did not give a 5 star review is because I had to go back to the front desk to ask for clean towells that I requested earlier in the day,on my 3rd day there. While the Front desk lady took my notes that morning, when we came back, there were no clean towell for us to shower. So I had to call the night concierge on that and she was the only one. Therefore I had to come down to take what I needed.
I loved the interior however, suffered through some allergies, allowing pets in a hotel without adequate air is not appropriate and some people, myself included are allergic to pets.
Also, the parking cost is outrageous; $30 per night is just not fair
