The room was clean, beds were cool. There is no mini fridge in the room, nor a trash can in the main room. Only one in the bathroom. My grievance with this hotel is all the additional fees you have to pay once you get there! We paid $706 for 2 nights. THEN there is an additional $100 hold each night that they take ONCE YOU CHECK IN. They charge a 15% tax per person for occupancy. The parking was $105 for 2 nights. Absolutely ridiculous and not at all worth it. We were there for a music fest and with all these additional fees that really hurt our weekend. If you want to keep customers maybe have everything included in your price. Not an additional $300 after already paying you $700. I’ll stick with holiday inns. We won’t be returning. Oh and the $200 hold for the deposit doesn’t get returned for 5-10 days according to them.

Very loud hotel. Rooms from neighbors slamming loud, thin walls so y can hear loudly shades opening and closing next door, loud footsteps above, people in Corridors, etc! Check in is difficult as only 1 person works at check in. Online check in is confusing.

Affordable option within walking distance of many attractions and restaurants. Very close to the Capitol, which we needed. While the restaurant and bar in the lobby were fine, the service at the pool was very slow for everyone. Biggest letdown was the room itself. Outside of the fun lighting, the rooms are essentially economy/budget rooms. It was nice to have a reclinable bed, but the mattresses and pillows were below average, and the sheets and pillows were not good. Like the room itself, the bathroom was quite small and very spartan. Overall, the hotel and room got the job done for the cost. I wouldnt call it a comfortable stay, but you get what you pay for and the location is nice.

I liked that most of the staff were very friendly. When I was checking in, there was someone holding the door and the person at the front desk was friendly. I had meetings throughout the day and utilized bag storage and the bag attendant was extremely rude. I also have never been at a hotel with an amenities fee and hated that - just increase your daily rate at this point. I don’t understand this solution, it just makes the customer feel baited. This is extremely off-putting. Based on my experience, I would not recommend Yotel to any friend and I will not be returning.

I had such an amazing stay at Yotel DC, from the moment I checked in with Natavia. She was knowledgeable and efficient and made me immediately feel welcome. I was also helped by Dewan and Lolo throughout the weekend. Everyone on staff at the front desk was a complete professional. Likewise with the service staff at both the lobby bar and the pool area bar. Kerriann and Jane were both fast and friendly, and I enjoyed chatting with them! All in all, this was a great stay and I will stay here again next time I visit.

The staff were polite but..I waited an hour for towels that never came. I called again, was told they would be right up, nope. No elevator to the roof where the pool is. I have no idea how someone in a wheelchair could get to the pool and bar. STUPIDLY, that is the only place you can use the $29 drink credit. The worst thing is the pump bottles of soap etc. It all smelled horrible, I swear like a cross between jet fuel fumes and that shampoo your kid has to use if the school said there was a lice infestation. I kid not. Disgusting. I requested bar soap, nada. The "King premium" room/bed? You had to press a button to retract the bed to allow 2 people to squeeze by. You can't open the windows for a crack of fresh air, the "contemporary" lighting pad is a pain/not intuitive. I don't want to learn a "new" way to turn on a light at $250/night. The walls are paper thin and I had to cover my ears or gag on hearing the neighbor clear his throat etc. - gross. We asked to use the chintzy $10/coupon towards breakfast on our last day and was told by management, sorry, you aren't paying the "35$ resort fee today so, you can't use it.". REALLY? We stayed 4 nights, never used it - and I thought it was really tacky and short sighted to not be more gracious and classy. What is the point of management on sight if they don't work with the guests instead recite a stupid use it or lose it policy? Housekeeping was very warm and generous, BUT we won't be back and won't stay at another Yotel.
