Disappointing Experience This Time Around
We’ve stayed at Waterton Lakes Lodge multiple times in the past and have always enjoyed our visits, but unfortunately, this most recent stay was disappointing.
When we arrived, the room we were assigned wasn’t ready, which left the staff scrambling to find us alternate accommodations. Once we were settled, we discovered the screen door was missing—a detail we only realized when my husband tried to bring in our bags and was injured. As he reached to catch the door, he was cut on the ankle due to the missing screen. While we tried to stop the bleeding, we found there were no tissues in the room.
When we went to the front desk, we were told the issue would be addressed the next business day—but it wasn’t. We ended up having to return to the front desk multiple times just to get basics like toilet paper, tissues, and extra towels.
While we understand that things happen and no place is perfect, the lack of follow-through and attention to simple guest needs was frustrating. Given our previous positive experiences, this stay was quite disappointing. We truly hope this was a one-off and that future visits will reflect the high standard we were once used to.
