Faulty doors allowed cold to enter into the entrance which then froze the pipes. Sprinklers went off causing mass evacuation around 1:30 am (or so). Spoke to Carla at the front desk who indicated this was an emergency, but maintenance of faulty doors isn’t, it’s poor upkeep.

The hotel was nice. Unfortunately, fire alarm went off in the middle of the night. The staff did not take any lead in the situation. Gave the guests no directions, did not help people get out of the building or give any instructions on what to do. It was snowing & 17 degrees out. after an hour we went back in to ask if it was ok to go back to our rooms. Really mishandled by Marriott. Apparently a pipe burst--wonder what happened.

Room was comfortable and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Didn’t like that the WiFi wasn’t included and would’ve had to pay almost $20 a night for it. Breakfast was also NOT included and had to pay $25+ for the buffet thats only available on the weekend. For the amount of money that I was paying, I expected at least a breakfast inclusion.

I've been staying at this hotel since 2016. I love the location, the cleanliness. They've done some upgrades! It's always quiet and comfortable. I miss the complimentary beverage they used to have at the front desk. 1 year was apple cider and it was probably the best apple cider I ever had. :) This place is always my first recommendation for anyone thinking to visit, especially if you're thinking of visiting the Salem events in October.

The staff was friendly and engaged in conversation easily. We had one dinner at the restaurant and it was fabulous - high quality food! When our flight was cancelled and we had to reschedule a day early, the didn’t hesitate to refund us a night for our room. Thank you for your kindness.
