Brilliant stay and the restaurant was incredible. Amazing service and the copper bath was a lovely luxury. Only thing is there was no milk for a cup of tea but I’m sure they would’ve got me some if I’d asked.
Lovely hotel on the Riverside a stones throw away from Bars, Restaurants, shopping and Transport links.
Stayed in the Cosy room which were ample for space and was very clean.
Hotel was beautiful, however the was loud music which sounded like it came from a function at the hotel, I did not sleep well as a result. When raised in the morning it was suggested it came from a bar down the road which may be true but it seemed too far away. A hotel needs to provide one thing, a good night's sleep, this hotel whilst amazing, didn't provide that which was disappointing, especially as it is not a cheap hotel.
Advertised twin room but was very small and no quilts....lots of issues around making the room twin, but lovely service. No mugs...just tiny tea cups :-(
Great location for the river and walking around Richmond but definitely not well placed for those coming with cars. On the booking confirmation is said parking couldn’t be booked but when we arrived we noticed it could and therefore all 10-15 spaces had gone. We had to park 15 minutes away next to the train station because there was nowhere else to go.
We asked to book a space after the florist had left for a wedding but this was given away and another one not booked instead unfortunately. The only bonus was that they gave us free parking on the day we were leaving I think to make up for it.
£50 extra for a pet is extortionate, especially when they don’t give you anything for it. No bowls, blankets, treats etc. we’ve been to many other dog friendly hotels where the charge is £20 and you get all of the above.
We were in a cozy room and it was as described, very small. Nice views but the sink for the bathroom was a small cloakroom size one so definitely not able to fit anything on. No information in the room about prices / room service etc. and only two lamps so was very dark. Fine for a night but no longer.
The shower area needed a good clean as it had limescale all on the edges.
Booked last minute and while the location is lovely, we wouldn’t return.
Beautiful old world property right on the Richmond river walk. Fully renovated. Fabulous living and dining common areas; exceptionally good breakfast. I was unhappy with my mattress, but I am particular. Overall an exceptional stay.
Beautiful boutique hotel! Breakfast was delicious and the grounds are so unique and pretty! The only downfall was that I could hear everyone walking up the stairs and in their rooms late at night. Otherwise, great place and location is perfect!
Its a shame to give this hotel one star. Because the staff are great, the service is great, the building, rooms, and location are splendid. This is a place with it's own style and attention to quality details and that works. Even if the repeated disclaimer on parking is disconcerting.
But my main purpose in booking a hotel room is to be able to relax and sleep. Unfortunately my room, which I believe was the wedding room, was right above the bar and restraunt. With no sound proofing it was like having a room over a night club. Maybe a fraction less than that but think relentless beats for 5 hours plus every evening.
My advice would be think twice if staying on business or looking for a peaceful vacation.
If looking for a trendy Richmond pad and don't mind loud music, late nights, and London's low flight path starting at 4am then this place becomes 5 stars.
The food defenitely is a bonus and has something about it but is a bit unknowable in places. 'Lite bites' 'Small plates' and 'large plates' I get but in reality didn’t help place the meal in context. Starters weren't like an introduction, and I don’t think its right to serve a 'large plate' and for customers to then have to pay extra to complete it by paying extra for veg or a similar side. That seems dishonest. Vegetarian 'large plates' not involved enough with exciting flavour and should be.
