The location is fantastic. Staff were good. The food could have been better. I complained about my meal and the waiter correctly referred me to the manager who unfortunately was unhelpful The room was a bit tired with hair on chair from previous occupant.

Well worth a visit

Short stsy and absolutely loved it. The room was perfect with an amazing view onto the beach. The restaurant was good value. All in all a very good stay.

We were fortunate with the weather and the view from our window was fabulous. The room was spacious, warm and comfortable. The breakfast choice was fantastic and waiting staff very pleasant. The only little negative was that we used the two cans of water on the tea tray on the first day and they weren’t renewed.

Food in the Orangery restaurant was great quality. Room was clean and comfortable but could maybe be doing with a little bit of renovation. Continental breakfast was of a good standard, cooked breakfast was varied with some items a little overcooked. Health suite facilities were of a good standard. Sauna and Steam room were of a decent size approx 8 people at a time in each. Changing rooms were a little tight if many people were in. Staff were pleasant, helpful and really great.

The hotel had some difficulties during our stay because it coincided with storm Eowyn and some facilities were not available but with good cause. The staff were fantastic and we were particularly impressed with the way all the catering staff worked together irrespective of status. Refurbishment is occurring and will be on-going but the impact was minimal however, the end result will put this venue in the top places to stay.

Beautiful Hotel. Right on the shoreline. Views of the Isle of Arran. We had afternoon tea in the Restaurant, which overlooked the sea. We had dinner in the lounge/bar. Food was of a high standard. Leisure facilities were really good with the pool, steam room, sauna and jacuzzi. Room was very spacious and overlooked the sea. All very clean. Bathroom had a large walk in shower and a seperate bath. Fab stay and will definitely return.
