I mean the main reason to stay here is the proximity to all things Leica, however it’s a nice place on its own. Special shout to Omid in Oskar’s for being so great. Would love to come back again.

As a fan of Leica cameras, a trip to Wetzlar to see the Leica museum was a bucket list item of mine. Staying in the Ernst Leitz hotel, was amazing! It was very clean with a lot of character. The room itself was very spacious and the staff was very accommodating. In my opinion, photographers MUST visit the museum, and stay at this hotel.

This was the best hotel so far during our two-week trip to various cities in Germany. My friends and I were photography fans so we tried staying at this hotel which located within the Leica global headquarters campus. There was a Leica museum right across. The hotel though is remotely located away from downtown Wetzlar but one can take a taxi from the Wetzlar train station for an average of 15 euros. The hotel can also call a taxi for you if you want to go to downtown.
