Centrally located on 3 wooded acres deep in the heart of Texas, Home on the Range is a sweet & simple Southern themed cottage with so much to offer. A true Hill Country retreat at an unbeatable value. Feel at peace with surrounding views of nature and a very well maintained, secluded space with an abundance of amenities. This space is a relaxing oasis to get away from it all.

Your property
Book Home on the Range to comfortably sleep up to 4 people. Enjoy the luxurious comfort of sleeping in the master suite on a California King. The master suite also includes a walk-in closet with a vanity, full bathroom.

Feel at ease showering in a large stone walk-in shower with our spa quality water system. We utilize triple-filtered, UV purified rainwater that is collected here on site. Our rainwater will leave your hair & skin feeling lavish & smooth.

There is additional space to sleep on the full size sleeper sofa in the living room. Linens located in the master closet and bay window storage. As well as a half bathroom by the back door.

Cook yourself a home cooked meal in our well-appointed kitchen. Or enjoy using the included gas grill and eat outside on our large private front porch or one of many shared outdoor seating areas. Alternatively, drive just a few minutes into town to wine and dine at one of many renowned local restaurants.

End the day watching one of many epic Texas sunsets or star-gazing while soaking in your very own private hot tub. Wake up rejuvenated, sipping freshly brewed coffee while sitting on the front porch watching the deer and birds or take a stroll through our shared nature space & gardens.

Take a splash in Aqua Azul, our shared salt water pool & sun deck open year round for your convenience and enjoyment. Personal pool towels are included in the home. Note that our pool is not heated.

Equipped with strong, high-speed WiFi makes this space perfect for any traveling entrepreneur to get remote work done. You may also enjoy the designated work space in the main living area.

Access all of your favorite shows & movies on a 55” large screen Amazon Fire Stick smart TV. Includes free Sling TV and ability to log into any of your preferred entertainment subscriptions or streaming services. We also provide various classic DVD movies & a DVD player for your enjoyment.

We are pet (Dog) friendly and allow 2 dogs per reservation. The cost is $40 per dog.

On Site Security Camera - a security camera is located on the edge of the awning over the outdoor deck. This camera points towards the driveway and parking area to monitor coming and going of vehicles and safety and security of vehicle and guests getting in and out of their cars. It is aimed away from the house (opposite direction) of the outdoor deck and house. It is clearly displayed under the awning.

My girlfriend and I came to celebrate our 1 year anniversary together. We wanted to enjoy a quiet get away where we could kick back and relax, enjoy nature, and not be far from the old downtown feel of life. The house was absolutely beautiful, and we got to see so many deer on the property throughout the stay. The entire property was extremely well maintained, as well as the amenities that we were able to utilize. We will absolutely be coming back again!

We could not have asked for a better place to stay! Larger and cheaper than staying at a hotel, HOTR provided the solitude and tranquility we were looking for. Close enough to downtown Wimberley to get breakfast, lunch and dinner within 3 - 5 minutes yet far enough out to feel secluded. Check-in was super easy!Coffee was available with creamer and sugar. The king size bed was incredibly comfortable and the bathrooms were amazing. Great water pressure and lots of room. The dining area had a window seat that allowed me to get some work done on my computer while enjoying the greenery. WiFi was amazing! The TV was huge and we had many options as far as what to watch. The huge deck and surrounding trees allowed for a cool breeze. Sitting outside in August was nice as I sipped my coffee and watched the deer roam. We didn’t utilize the hot tub, but that was because we ran out of time. I plan to get in the next time we book here! I may even try the pool that was only a few yards away as well. Yes, we will be back!

We had such a great time at Home on The Range! The house was very comfortable and clean. We enjoyed coffee on the porch and watching the deer, and after a long day at the college we came back and enjoyed the evening in the pool. Definitely will keep this place in mind when coming back into town for sure!

25th Anniversary Getaway

We had an amazing time at Home on the Range. Loved the house, loved the porch, loved the hot tub, loved the pool, and will definitely be returning in the future. We had one issue, but I reached out and it was fixed in 1/2 an hour. We really appreciated the closeness to the water and to Wimberley's town square. Definite 10 out of 10!

Perfect location for our 4 night stay in Wimberley. Close to the square, and had everything you could possibly need! Pool and deck are nice. Hot tub was clean and nice but only soaked my feet in it (weather was hot and humid!)

Lovely relaxing weekend

This house was perfect for a weekend in Wimberley. Just a few mins down the road from everything we needed. The property was pretty with lots of trees and deer/birds. The hot tub was very clean and a nice way to relax after a long day walking around. Overall a great house and would be back again!

My friend and I loved staying at this property. It is exactly as the pictures show. So clean, so comfortable, and when I go back to Wimberley, I would love to stay at this exact same place. Literally a quick drive to downtown Wimberley, also close to some Hill country wineries. So you really can enjoy it all. Property was quiet, and it was beautiful. Of course we had to use the hot tub and it was so relaxing. Thank you, Mark!

Amazing little weekend getaway

The property was a very nice little place as described. Very clean, had all the amenities you could need. Check in was very easy and the property manager was very nice and would help if we needed anything. My partner and I stayed for 3 nights with our dog, it was a very peaceful location, was very convenient because it’s 3 minutes from the HEB and close enough to downtown Wimberley. The hot tub was really nice and the house overall was very nice and cute, bed was comfortable, and the pullout couch in the living room was a nice touch so we could relax and watch TV. Didn’t get a chance to try the pool but it seemed very nice and relaxing. We’ll have to try next time because we will most certainly be back. Amazing property, great hosts, overall a fantastic time. Would highly recommend for anyone trying to have a nice, relaxing getaway or full on vacation and experience the beautiful hill country in this nice litter area!

Very cozy and quiet

The house was and the location were both great! We had everything that we needed and then some. We were close to stores and restaurants, but far enough away to enjoy sitting outside on the large deck without unwanted noise from traffic, etc. Mark, the host, checked in on us via email a couple of times over our three days, but he was easily reachable via phone, if necessary. We highly recommend this location to anyone looking for such a place in the Wimberley area.

Hill Country Get-Away perfect location

This location and host are both amazing! I love that the properties are easy to find, close to town (but not too close), great neighborhood for morning or evening walks. The deck is a huge feature of this property and much time was spent on it. Host is a great communicator and I would stay here again!

Christmas Getaway

This was our annual Christmas getaway and we used to go to San Antonio but felt they quit decorating during Covid. We have found a new favorite. The town is wonderful and this little cabin is perfect for two. Bed is very comfortable and lots of room to spread out enjoy the space. Host provided all the necessities for cooking or staying in if you wanted. Town is nearby and we found lots of wonderful shops and great restaurants. Will definitely be back!!
