Good location to explore Bowness. Easy check in and didn’t really see anyone after that. Rooms need a bit of TLC in my opinion but a good stay for what we paid.

We had high hopes for this stay after the previous good reviews. We arrived on the Friday night and were hoping for a good nights sleep as we were up at 4.30am the next day to go walking. The rooms are directly above the pub and on the Friday the pub stayed open until 2am with very loud music and even louder patrons. The website stated it closed at 11pm and the sign on the door 12am. However at 1.15am we couldn’t take the noise any more, I went down to the bar and asked if the bar was closing soon. The barman was apologetic and said they would keep the noise down. Unfortunately nothing changed and the party finally stopped just after 2 and the party goers left about 2.20am. We spoke to management the next day who were very sorry and said the bar should have closed at 12 and it accidentally stayed open. Initially we were offered a bottle of wine, after we explained our situation they eventually refunded the night. The next night we had no issues, however the final evening the room next to us decided to have a gathering and as the doors and walls were very thin we were able to hear everything being said / laughed at. Luckily this ended at 12am so we did get some sleep. The hotel do also allow dogs so every time someone went in/ out of their room, regardless of the time of day, we heard a few dogs barking at the noise, however, in isolation this would not have been an issue.
The rooms were fine, slightly dated but very clean. If it wasn’t for the noise issues we would return.
Easy to find no car parking staff friendly room to hot no radiator control could do with better pillows nice to have bottles of water left overall stay was good
I liked the fact that the staff were really friendly and helpful, there was a restaurant on site and it was easy to find and right near the lake.

Room was ok.Window blind broken so had to stay shut for duration of stay, would be an easy fix. Only one toilet roll for 2 days, and would have to go into bar to ask for another one, just bought some. Tv very small for size of room, not expensive to upgrade these days. White paint dots over bathroom floor, pity somebody wasnt more careful. Bed comfy, glad there was a fan as room very hot, even with windows open. We would come back and stay again. Thankyou

The property was functional.
A bit dated but nothing too drastic to say I wouldnt stay again.
Staff were friendly
Convenient location.
Budget hotel you get what you pay for. It was around half the price of other Bowness hotels.
Very dated. Shower no water pressure. Shower door wouldn't close.
Sheets and towels were fairly new. But everything else needs updating.
Some areas not very clean. Wouldn't stay again.
Had a disappointing stay here and wouldn’t recommend it. The toilet was broken (wouldn’t flush). We did report this but it wasn’t fixed. We had a terrible nights sleep as the doors to each room slam shut very loudly so we heard guests coming back at 1am and then guests leaving at 6.30. The noise from the road is loud. All in all not a comfortable or relaxing stay.
