Worst travelodge in Winnipeg

Terrible Terrible terrible. Didn’t even get checked in and left to a different hotel. They said we couldn’t stay because we have four kids and we only put two down when we booked online. I said okay give me another room no problem but they refused. They had more rooms available. I then went a rebooked online right in front of them and picked four children this time. But they refused again and said policy of 5 people per room because there would be a fire that night and it was a safety issue. Our kids are all under 7 and we were there for a family event. Our entire family will never go here again. There were drunk people walking around the lobby from the bar connected to the lobby. There was a mouldy stench at the front desk. The carpets were stained and dirty. Hallways were dark and grimy. There was a car with a broken window in the parking lot.

All the staff were very kind and accommodating! One thing I found a little annoying was the lack of drinking water in the lobby, which made me ask for a staff member to have to go out of their way to fill my water bottle.

Such noisy clientele and the rooms are not soundproof. booked for 2 nights, left after 1 night, of which there was no sleeping because of the noise!
