This is a very nice hotel located off the beaten path. The rooms were very spacious and the staff was extremely nice. The only issue was that the room had a strange smell when we arrived, but we aired it out by opening the windows and everything was fine after that. The restaurant was great for dinner and especially breakfast!

Hotel Winters was an absolutely wonderful experience! Capri, at the front desk is so sweet, pleasant, friendly, and efficient! She has a beautiful smile and was full of wonderful information and tips! Carbones, the attached restaurant was absolutely phenomenal! Ireland, our waitress was so sweet, quick and efficient. Super friendly! Full of great recommendations! Food was phenomenal we will be back.

Loved our room. Beautiful hotel. An overall good stay. However, points taken for a staff member being a bit rude to my Mother when she made a simple request, (on our Mother’s Day getaway), and absolutely would not recommend the restaurant at all. The service was so poor we left after the appetizer arrived and ate elsewhere.

My husband and I just stayed a week at the winters and the staff were wonderful. Carboni’s restaurant was amazing, but the hours were a bit quirky. Our a/c in our room about froze us to death at night and then would automatically switch to heat - it is July. Other than that this place is top notch.

Classic Comfort

I was looking for a quick getaway to celebrate my friend's birthday while visiting her just down the road in Vacaville. Hotel Winters was perfect. We were going to have dinner at a nearby steakhouse but forgot to make a reservation. Happy accident. We had dinner at the restaurant in the hotel and it was spectacular. Also enjoyed a spa treatment in the adjacent spa. Loved it. Only issue was there was a wedding at the pool which thwarted our plans to read a book outside by the pool. Have already recommended Hotel Winters to friends in both Northern and Southern California where I now live.

Not as good as in the past….

This has always been one of our favorite hotels. However, the elevator broke several times (with guests inside) during this stay. When I asked to use the stairs ~ to avoid another incident of being trapped ~ I discovered that the stairs were locked up in an entertainment space that I had to request to use to go up….not sure how I would have gotten out of the locked room had I just gone down…?

The Hotel Winters is my FAVORITE. It's gorgeously appointed, beautifully lit and designed with the kind of intentional spaciousness that smacks of historical estates. So many lovely extras - from lobby elevators whose doors always stand open, to fresh iced tea and lemon water always at the ready. Dog and people friendly - because the staff is warm and friendly and so helpful!! Don't sleep on the Hotel Winters!
