Our house is over 140 years old, with 140 years worth of character. Our home is spacious and airy, suitable to accomodate all groups. There are four bedrooms, with a queen bedroom and full bathroom on each level.
The upstairs deck sweeps three sides of the property and is perfect for catching the afternoon breeze or watching a summer storm roll through.
Downstairs features an open plan kitchen, dining and smaller sitting area with a TV, while the upstairs living area is perfect for everyone to gather around and watch a movie- both living spaces are air conditioned and the property has wifi.
The kitchen seamlessly transitions to the outdoor patio area, including an outdoor dining space and servery windows to the BBQ.
The property is fully fenced, welcoming guests to bring their pets, positioned on a nice, quiet street with a beach access path nearby.
Our home stocks the necessities- linen, towels and consumables.
Make yourself comfortable in this vacation home, featuring a kitchen with a refrigerator and an oven. There's a private balcony. A Smart television is provided for your entertainment. Conveniences include a microwave and a coffee/tea maker.

We stayed here for a long weekend in February while catching up with friends, along with our two Aussie Shepherds, and had a wonderful stay. The house has multiple living spaces and is very comfortable, with high-quality fixtures, furnishings, and linen.The location is quiet and ideal, just a short walk to the Bowls Club and the beautiful long beach where we walked every day. The yard is fully fenced and secure (the front gate needs to be tied closed, but this wasn’t an issue for us), and we felt comfortable having our dogs there.There is air conditioning and fans in every bedroom, and lovely sea breezes flow through when the windows and doors are open. The lower level was especially convenient, with a bedroom, bathroom, kitchen, and living area all on one level. The indoor–outdoor flow to the patio made it perfect for hosting friends for a BBQ.Communication with the host wasn’t always ideal, but the onsite instructions were clear. Be sure to look for the yellow information folder, which contains useful details including Wi-Fi.Thank you to Ella and your family for hosting us — we would happily stay again.

Beautiful & Comfortable

A tastefully renovated house which is comfortable and full of character. Our Scottish Terrier loved the large fenced yard. Even though it rained for 2 of our 3 days, we had a relaxing, enjoyable break. Our trips to the Esplanade and beach were by car because of the weather, but we still had quite a bit of time to enjoy these wonderful spots in Woodgate. A couple of streets back is just as wonderful!

Rustic

I asked the owner if the house would be clean and lawns mowed. Lawn was not mowed. Floors were dirty and not vacuumed. The beds were uncomfortable and the pillows stained and of poor quality The drive way was hard to drive into as there were too many loose rocks. The house is old and rustic and very spacious. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you need. Nice coffee machine and coffee. My friends and I wouldn’t go again and night choose a house beach front. We couldn’t access the veranda or had any internet . No undercover parking at all.

Beautiful house

We loved the house so much we will book again if we ever go to Woodgate again. I’d never heard of it before but what a gorgeous place to visit. Beaches are amazing. The pub food was second to none and the house was beautifully decorated with heaps of room for myself, my partner and two teenage daughters. None of us wanted to leave.

Hidden Gem

Behind the weather beaten facade lays a hidden beach themed gem. A lovely, welcoming home, which is well presented, well equiped and very clean. A place of peace and calm. Loved that we could bring our dog and he loved the big backyard and long walks on the beach. Thank you.

Arrived at the accommodation and the place had not been cleaned since previous guests had stayed. Contacted host and she took two hours to reply to us. She sent cleaners over and didn’t contact when they had finished the clean, ended up checking in at 8pm instead of the 2pm usual check in time, complete waste of our first night there. When we arrived a second time it was a rushed clean and the place looked cleaner when we left then when we arrived. Host offered a discount for the inconvenience but no discount was ever provided/ no refund considering we had paid prior to the visit. Tried contacting the owner politely to ask if we were going to be compensated and never heard back. Really disappointing experience

Woodgate Stay

Lovely place and great for family and friends. Good location. Yard could have been mowed as there was a lot of sticky grass seed. Couldn’t really walk in the yard without seed attaching to our shoes and legs.

Woodgate with friends

First trip to Woodgate for our friends, about the 200th trip for us. We found the house to be well suited to our needs for 2 families. Great set up and just a few minutes walk to the beach. Nice and quite area. Our friends are Woodgate converts as well now, be back again soon.
