Amazing resort, everything you need is in the property, staff super friendly, food excellent I didn’t go to restaurants just because the buffet was amazing, the only thing and I hope the resort does something about it is the Mexican plaza in especially the store “7 SETENTA” the old man in charge of that store and an other 2 is very rude I did file a complaint about it his prices are double from the other stores in the Mexican plaza so shopping around before you buying anything you can find half price from the other stores. So please try to avoid this person don’t know his name but old man with glasses and white moustache.the person that work in the store told me she doesn’t his name but don’t go to the 7 setenta store and the one beside. But the resort is amazing I recommend it 100%.

The resort is large in general with huge beautiful pools, enjoyed our stay.Need to improve the information given at checking, we were told that you could only wear long pants to all of the restaurant and that was not the case. The room was large and confortable however we had to call for repairs as soon as we got the room. The safe didn’t work, the shower head was on the floor, the hairdryer didn’t work adécuate and the TV never really worked properly. Everything except the TV was repaired eventually.

I didn't like the amount of walking involved. However, I have to say, I left a piece of clothing in a restroom and they found it 6 hrs later- in the trash- and I got it back. That was MUCH appreciated and over and beyond. We did have issues in our room with a leaking sink and not having a working coffeemaker, but everything else was actually very nice. Staff was wonderful!!!!

We had a lovely time at Barcelo Maya Palace! Highlights were the beach and restaurants. The staff was very friendly and welcoming as well. The French and Mexican restaurants were our favorites. No issues making reservations but you just have to be willing to work with what’s available. The beach is beautiful and there’s plenty of loungers but it’s just the loungers. No small beach tables to place your belongings or drinks. And, there’s no service on the beach so if you want a drink you have to walk over to the bar by the pool. Overall, we had a great time! We enjoyed the resort and booked an excursion through guest services that we loved. The resort has everything! It’s easy to get around to the sister properties and enjoy other amenities.

Everything was great ! I have no complaints about the resort ! My only complaint is that I assumed the transportation from the airport was included and it was not! Then your Expedia people tried to make me pay 500 American for transportation there and back to the airport super disappointing and disgusting actually ! So I will go back to the resort again but I’m not sure I will book thru Expedia again
