El Cocal is a Gated community of Beach Houses tucked away between the beautiful mountains and Caribbean ocean of in the east coast of Puerto Rico. Villa Luna has 4 bedrooms and 3 full bathrooms. First bedroom has two full size beds, Second bedroom has a queen size bed , Third bedrroom a bunk bed with twin on top and full on the bottom and a button and the master bedroom with a king size bed and full bathroom..Full kitchen,living room, home theater, tv, dvd , ipod station, games, movies, dinning room , 2 balconies with ocean views and mountain views, porch with ocean views, hammacs and outdoor furniture, outdoor shower,washer and dryer, all linens and towels provided, parking , club house with basketball court, beach chairs, basketball, etc.. Have you been on vacations where you wished you had stayed off the grid more? This is where you need to come stay. Living an incredibly hectic, stressful life, I often crave the simplicity of my grandmother's house (large, open air home) and an atmosphere for people to talk and truly spend time. We came here with my husband's parents (who are in their middle 80s and not well but who once lived in San Juan and loved it.). They wanted to be on the island once more before they died. We brought our adult children and two best friends as well, and the 8 of us truly found this place indescribable. It was all the comforts of air conditioning in bedrooms, while having natural ocean breezes that blow from front to back of the open-concept living spaces. The beach below it is a hidden paradise where you can swim/float in calmer lagoon or get into bigger waves on the other side. The frogs and birds and sound of waves lulled us to sleep. Having grown up camping, this was an amazing sound. The town of Yabacoa (the epicenter of Hurricane Maria) is rebuilding and has local food and amazing views to offer. We had only an hour drive to San Juan for day trips. The next town over Humacoa had all kinds of modern shopping, restaurants, etc. This is a place you must see for yourself. We absolutely want to come back!

I would like to start with how accurate the online listing is to reality. The home was completely breath taking from the inside to the outside. I couldn’t help but to notice how clean and organized everything was. This home had everything we needed from material things, space for our big family, sense of security, and beautiful views. The view from the master bedroom was undeniably one of my favorite things. Even the construction across the way didn’t take away from anything. The pool was a main attraction for our family. The view of the rainforest while we swam and listened to music was amazing. This was the first time we traveled to Puerto Rico and our experience was so positive that I’m sure it won’t be the last. Thank you so much Elizabeth for sharing paradise with my family. Sending love from New Orleans, the Woods family.

Beautiful Stay!

We brought our son to Puerto Rico to celebrate him graduating High School. This was our first time visiting Puerto Rico and this house turned out to be an excellent choice for us!! Such beautiful views in both front and back! House had everything we needed for our 5 night stay to make it feel like home and the pool was great! Could use a few updates, especially to downstairs bathroom, but this was an amazing house for the price. We would definitely rent again in the future!!! Recommend for families for sure!

Beautiful Villa in a great location!

It was a wonderful visit and Elizabeth is an incredible host! The villa was just as pictured and was well appointed! The beach was so close and given the location, seemed very private and quiet! Shopping and other amenities were just a short 10 minute drive for the most part!! Loved our time there!!

Beautiful Home

This place is as pictured and fit our needs well! Pros: nearby beach, open concept and spacious, excellent breeze throughout home and great pool with beach chairs and umbrella!! The only con is the upstairs family room lacks comfortable seating. We love watching movies as a family in the evening and found this to be the only downfall to the place. I highly recommend as the pros definitely make it an excellent choice!!

Spring break

We enjoyed the house, two families of 4 had plenty of room. Many of the rooms have amazing views, plenty of windows. The downstairs can be opened up in the front and back to let the air through. Its nice in the back having no houses, just jungle. We enjoyed a mango that fell off the tree, something we clearly dont get in the North. The proximity to the beach was great and the water was perfect. Forecast called for clouds and rain everyday and it barely rained 10 min or had a cloud. Even enjoyed company of some friendly stray dogs. The roads are a little crazy but you can get to some restaurants with nice views in 10 min. Overall it seemed a bit remote. The house does have a lot of tile so have to be careful with the pool water. Was hard to keep clean but thats what happens with 4 kids on a trip!

A slice of paradise!

Everything about this house was just as described. It was light and airy and the views were breathtaking! The pool was great for the times we wanted to relax but the kids wanted to swim. The beach was amazing and we loved swimming and hunting for shells.

Awesome place

We really enjoyed our stay. We had some initial difficulty to find it but Elisabeth was very helpful to get us properly oriented when we called her. This is a great house with great views of ocean and rain forest behind the house. We were much appreciative that the house was well-stocked and things like beach chairs were provided. We highly recommend!

Beautiful Home

The home was beautiful, and Elizabeth was very accommodating! The home is just a short walk from the beach. There aren't any good restaurants very close. We had to drive at least 20 minutes to get a good meal. There is a nice grocery store and Walgreens in town but no boutiques.

We had a group of 10 and greatly enjoyed our stay - plenty of room for everyone, it was a friendly and quiet neighborhood, close to the beach and we spent a lot of time enjoying the pool and exploring other local towns. We would definitely recommend and come back in a heartbeat!

Dream Vacation

This was our first trip to PR and we could not have selected a better place to stay! We wanted a home with an ocean view out of the normal touristy areas and this was just that! The home was clean, roomy for two families and was an easy walk to the beach. Many local restaurants were within 10 minutes and all other amenities also within 15-20 minutes. Elizabeth’s home is easy to get to and within an hour drive to the rain forest and other excursions. Would highly recommend and we hope to return again!! Thank you for an amazing vacation!

Just what we were looking for

Our family likes to relax on vacation. The mostly private beach allowed for lots of time spent lounging without needing to deal with crowds. The house opens up front to back allowing an amazing breeze to blow throughout the house and keep the interior comfortable on days in the mid-80’s. Everything you could need from the house is provided by Elizabeth. We were lucky enough to have her nearby for half of the week and she is such a wonderful person. We generally don’t stay anywhere twice as we like to experience new places. However, I would stay here again as we had such a wonderful relaxing vacation.

Family getaway

This was our first trip to Puerto Rico and our stay was perfectly relaxing. The property was amazing with ocean in front and the rainforest in the back. The home had plenty of space for the family to stretch out, the pool was refreshing and the beach was right across the street. Elizabeth was wonderful and a very attentive host.

Beautiful home, great host

We spent 9 nights at Elizabeth's home. The home is spacious and well appointed. Everyone enjoyed the pool and the proximity to the beach. The views from both sides of the house were beautiful. Elizabeth was a wonderful host as well. We experienced a few routine maintenance issues upon our arrival, but Elizabeth responded very quickly and arranged for them to be addressed quickly. She was a very responsive and gracious host. I highly recommend this home to anyone with a larger group.

Great place

This place was amazing. The pictures does not do it justice. Plenty of room for the whole family. We had seven pool was fantastic we could walk down to the beach. Neighborhood was quiet and very safe. Elizabeth was fantastic to deal with great communicator. Drive to San Juan was about one hour, but we knew that we did not want to stay in the busy area. We wanted to be in a peaceful place and this place definitely was it, Would highly recommend this place if you want a place to stay and enjoy yourself. This is a great place.

Perfect Puerto Rico Home

This was such a truly wonderful home. The home was beautiful the pictures don’t give it justice. You have the best of both worlds….the front of the home had an ocean view and the back overlooked what looked like a tropical paradise. The house was very clean. I am a very picky person and literally could not find anything dirty or wrong. It was well stocked and had everything we needed including games and everything we needed in the kitchen. The house had plenty of towels and soap to even a speaker we could play our music on. My kids loved the basketball court across from the house and the beach access is steps away. This house is situated on the perfect part of the beach that had a area blocked from waves almost like a little lagoon area that the little kids could enjoy without worrying about the waves. The pool was very nice and was well equipped with all kinds of pool toys. We have stayed at a lot of rental properties and I have to say everything was on point with this home. Thank you Elizabeth for everything.. the check in and check out process was a breeze and thank you again for recommending Sergio with Fixatrip for our excursions. Would highly recommend this home for families and hope to be back soon!
