If you and your travel companions are after a Yeonggwang hotel, sadly we don't currently offer hotels in Yeonggwang itself.

The larger South Jeolla region is definitely well worth discovering as well. South Jeolla is blessed with beaches and coastal plains. Popular South Jeolla visitor draws are the castles and traditional villages. Common pastimes in this particular part of South Korea include mountain climbing.

Everyone knows we Aussies know how to relax, so consider staying a little longer and check out the National Maritime Research Institute of Cultural Heritage and Yudal Mountain, which you'll find in Mokpo, 60 kilometres to the south of Yeonggwang. Some of our recommended Mokpo hotels and accommodations are the F1 Hotel and Hotel New Evergreen. Or, you could stay in Buk-gu, 70 kilometres to the east of Yeonggwang, where you can pick from the Geumsoojang Tourist Hotel and Palace Tourist Hotel. If you're staying in Buk-gu, be sure to visit the Kumho Family Land and Uijae Museum of Korean Art.

If enjoying sport gives you a buzz, make the time to visit Guus Hiddink Stadium, which is 65 kilometres to the east of Yeonggwang. Stay nearby to the action at the Holiday Inn Gwangju or the Ramada Plaza Gwangju.
