For the price, can't really argue too much. Free car parking for a trip into York city centre (walkable). We were informed of what needed to know regarding access and timings etc. Not the hosts fault but other inconsiderate guests were noisy until gone 2am. Not much sound proofing between rooms. Pillows a bit too plump and fluffy for us, but each to your own on that one. Overall, did the job for one night.

Wonderful one-night stay at Ashbourne House. The room was very spacious, well decorated and absolutely spotless. Great attention to detail - there was even a supply of cotton buds and a small sewing kit! Really conveniently located to get to York centre, and the bed was the comfiest I've ever slept in! Will 100% stay here again when visiting York.

Last gasp reservation.

This was a real last minute booking, but what a winner. The guest house was wonderful. The room was very comfortable (didn't want get out of the bed). Such an individual look to each room. Made a nice change from the usual Travelodge/Premier Inn ordinariness. Did Didn't try the breakfast. Will rectify that next time. Very impressed. Highly recommend.

We had a wonderful time staying at the Ashbourne Hotel. From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel so welcome by Fiona. The house is absolutely beautiful and our room was so comfortable and spotlessly clean. The location in Fulford was perfect for exploring York, and we really appreciated all the helpful tips that Fiona gave us.

Enjoyed my stay unfortunately it was very hot at night but a fan was provided in the room . I was made to feel welcome and the owner went out her way with additional comforts provided had sanitiser and sweets not to mention a nice clean room. I will be back again.

Lovely stay on the outskirts of York

Simple and straightforward. Lovely room, on the smaller side but adequate for one night. Modern amenities with standard bathroom. Lovely selection of hot drinks available. Ceiling fan which was very much needed on our stay. Very clean and very well presented. Happy to stay again. Parked on the street nearby and good 20 minute walk into centre.

A real gem

Beautiful property and room. The lady who checked us in and showed us to our room was very friendly and told us how to get into town which is about a 15-20 minute walk. Our room was very clean and furnished to a high standard

Fantastic couple of nights here, check in was easy, parking either straight out front or on the street around the corner. Bus stop just outside with an easy trip into town so we could have a drink with dinner and not worry about driving. Can touch on to the bus with a credit card. Breakfast was freshly prepared to order by the hosts and was excellent quality! Would stay again.

Home from Home!!!!

I recommend ASHBOURNE HOUSE most highly. Location 10-15 minutes walk from centre of York. Environment, room temperature , cleanliness excellent. . Proprietors very warm and friendly. I am VERY satisfied with my stay at Ashbourne House.

We booked Ashbourne House on the back of all the reviews and it did not disappoint. Absolutely fantastic stay. Spotlessly clean, powerful shower, the most comfortable bed, all the little extra touches and Fiona and Ricardo were the best and most helpful hosts. There is a bus stop right opposite and just 10 minute journey into town. Highly recommend and would definitely use again if returning to York.
