Short of Expectations
Great location!! 3 week stay. However, there were a few things that left us disappointed for a luxury property. The beautiful bathroom that is showcased was unusable the whole time. The bathtub would not hold water and the toilet handle was falling off. A maintenance person came out and had to order the parts that would arrive after we left. Overall cleanliness could have been better. A chair that was not assembled properly fell out from under me, hit my head on a door and lost a tooth the next day. Was not told about a 1030 curfew (not posted in site property guide, sign on sliding glass door says turn out lights when you go to bed - no time stated specifically but does mention problem with neighbors). Neighbor would harass us for sitting in the garden after 1030 even with the lights off. It got so bad I threatened to call the Police if he didn't stop. So we didn't use the back porch for the last 10 days after 1030. VRBO on line says enjoy the summer evenings in the back garden, not mentioning 1030 curfew because of ugly neighbor. The neighbor called the property management and complained about us, oh brother! (we are senior citizens, no music, no loud anything but just having quiet conversation in the garden. The dude is mental-not our fault). The property management called us to inform us of the neighbors complaint. They said manager would call us on Monday, did not. Asked that I send an email complaint to counter, I didn't. Doubt ugly neighbor sent an email.
