Nice room, go elsewhere for breakfast
The room was fine, nothing at all wrong with it. Breakfast service was woeful. Breakfast is self serve buffet but you ask for certain items like poached eggs or well done (crispy) bacon. Sat down, got a few bits ourself and asked for poached eggs for the wife and I. She also wanted crispy bacon as the stuff in self serve was limp and greasy.
20 minutes later, the server walked past our table with what looked to be our eggs and bacon, giving it to a couple who just sat down - it was gratefully received by them. I pointed out the mistake, and was told there was no mistake, ours would be a few minutes. 10 minutes later we enquired again, to be told "a few minutes". 45 mins after the original ask, my wife got her eggs, and I asked when mine would come, and the wife's crispy bacon, I was told "a few minutes". 5 mins later my eggs came, but no bacon for the wife. We asked again and 10 mins later, some limp bacon that looked less well cooked than the bacon you collect yourself arrived. We politely said the bacon wasn't crispy and she went away again. We complained to the manager (along with 3 other couples who'd had similar experiences), and got promised remedial bacon. The replacement arrived 1 hours and 20 minutes, again it was limp and undercooked. We got up and left at that point after pointing out again that the bacon was barely cooked. Also no beans at buffet for 25mins we were there,
We don't complain unless service is woeful - the breakfast area wasn't even busy.
