Tv remote did not work and no toilet rolls in room on arrival and remedied eventually after chasing. Breakfast food lowest quality available and we went to McDonalds the second morning! Bar had run out of bottled beer, gin and Baileys and no room service. Very poor and not worth HALF the cost! Go somewhere else if possible.

Reception/breakfast staff were v courteous. The hotel is dates. The toilet sink qas clogged and no one cleaned our room. Unfortunately we were out all day hence only realised late when arriving in the room after 9pm

the room was really clean and the hotel was quiet, breakfast was good and lots of choice, however didnt think much of the menu choice for meals. I had a lamb shank but only got small piece of potato mash no veg which is unusual when you order and also not always keen on curries so better choice would be nice

Room 120 has a wet room and when showering the water flooded from the bathroom into the carpet of the main bedroom, the drain for the water was not open enough to allow for drainage.

no parking on site and quite expensive had a room on the front which was quite noisy asked to change and got the “ no available rooms to change to “ rooms are small and if on a lower floor you get noise from upper floors

Was ok. No shower pressure and hot water took ages to come on. No duvet and pillow for my son who was using a sofa bed. Had to donate my extra pillow which would have been used to support my pregnant belly. The duvets provide were already folded in the sofa bed contained a stain.

The location, just a short walk to central York and the Barbican Theatre. Inside the hotel reception area had plenty of seating and a nice relaxed atmosphere. My room was comfortable and also had a lovely walk-in shower.

Great hotel, but breakfast service was very poor.

Very clean room and facilities. Breakfast was not very good, whilst the food was great, the service was awful. Not enough staff to cope with the guests. Continually running out of food, cups, sauces, tea bags etc etc, and tables that needed cleaning were stacking up as guests were pouring in.
