Superior room was a weird layout and really quite dark, everything painted dark grey…. a bit claustrophobic wen curtains were closed. Felt like I was washing hands n face in a kitchen sink. Not much storage space …. Wardrobe was tiny. Shower was amazing and toiletries really nice. Bed was big n comfy. Staff were really lovely. Roof top bar was amazing but closed on Monday n Tuesdays even on run up to Christmas. Great location. Probs would not stay again unless better room

First time at this hotel and we loved it. Location is excellent, staff are friendly and professional, Room was spacious and with the "Club" room, it had all the amenities. It was very clean, and we ate in the bar which was a pleasant experience, and the cocktails were of a very good quality and reasonable. Our only issue is limited on site parking, though there is a NCP next door, queuing was long, and we did not book a breakfast but decided to have one in the morning and it is very expensive; and average.

A really noisy hotel, it’s like sleeping in a night club. Our room was above a function room, the music didn’t shut off until midnight on both nights. We had to move rooms from 119 to 510 and the noise was still terrible. A good location, and rooms are nice but not worth compromising on sleep for.

We had a nice big suite. Just a shame they let dogs in soon room, our being one of them. A bit of a shock when we walked into the room to find a dog basket and 2 bowls.

Welcomed by friendly Front Desk member. Enjoyed a cocktail at lounge while waiting for room. Check-in was easy and quick, room clean and one we requested. Stay was very nice. Good dinner in restaurant. Would return and recommend. Just across the bridge from Shambles for Christmas shopping, Minster, park, river walk and other sites of interest.

Staff were lovely, baggage storage was easily available. Location was great. Room was fine, but really dark. Terrible for doing hair and makeup. Bed was a bit hard, but had a good sleep. Could hear all sounds loud and quiet in the hallway. No deadbolt on door. Didn't love the layout with the shower open to the room.

Easy check in, staff friendly, room was spacious clean and tidy with everything we needed. Bed was nice and big extra pillows are in wardrobe if you need them. We didn’t have breakfast chose to eat out so I haven’t scored it - location is perfect for York 7 min walk from pretty much everything you need.
