You get what you pay for- in a good way
If you’re looking for a 5 star hotel at this price point- you’re definitely looking in the wrong place. The hotel was comfortable, beds were clean and no signs of any type of bugs.
Breakfast was the typical waffles, muffins, cereal, coffee and juice. They didn’t have any flavored creamer (yes it’s something I need in my coffee). And at first there was no milk for the cereal. They were bringing in milk when we were done. They also offered Jimmy Deans breakfast sandwiches instead of eggs, potatoes etc.
Overall the property isn’t bad, I did see a lot of half assed contractor type work. Ex- in my shower you could still see the lines that they drew to make sure they cut out the correct spot for the shower head, the rubber piece at the bottom of the shower door to make sure it stayed shut was missing, some adhesive was left on the shower walls, or caulking on the toilet tank lid. NONE of which would make me not stay here.
It was a bit unnerving seeing the police show up our first night, blocking the entrance to the Main Street, and then again the following day- knocking on the room downstairs. Unfortunately- the owners can’t run background checks or turn people away so it’s hard to know who else is staying the same place as you. Had it just been my daughters and I, I might have felt a little uneasy but would have still stayed.
