The Kitchen was equipped. The kitchen sink grate bottom side really needed cleaning. The stove top had spattered grease from previous guests. When the oven was turned on smoked filled the house, our son jumped out of the shower yelling "somethings is burning in the oven!" The oven was not cleaned from previous guests and filled the house with smoke. We couldn't find the smoke alarm since it hadn't sounded, found it. We opened the doors and windows to clear out the smoke. I had to scrape the bottom of the oven before putting our dish inside to heat up.Since we were not familiar with Vrbo it would be helpful to attach information about the amenities so we would not have brought so many dishes, pots and pans with us, & seasonings. There was a lot and we were thankful for that. There were so many labels and switches but could not find one to turn the loft fan off. We did leave a note explaining that on the island. The entrance code did not work to open the back door to enter. So, if we wanted to use that area, we would have had to leave the door a jar. Is there an area we could have emptied the trash, we were not aware and did not of course, want to leave it outside so, we left it in the house. We did email Simmy a couple months before our stay and asked for information with no response. The driveway Really needs attention! We have a Tundra truck, not a four-wheel drive and at some points the tires would spin in areas, the weather was clear, dry. More Towels too.

We loved our stay here! It was in a good area away from the crowds in the valley. Kitchen had everything we needed, beds were comfy and we even tried out the whirlpool tub a couple times. We loved relaxing on the deck out front planning our next day’s adventures. We did not use the back patio. We enjoyed doing the puzzles in the evening, as well. TV and internet worked great!

Stayed here 3 nights with my family (2 teens and 1 pre-teen). Had everything we needed, all amenities, especially the kitchen, were great. Everything was labeled well, host was super responsive. House felt both cozy for spending time together but roomy for when we needed space. Not too far drive for main park spots. Def recommend staying here.

This was the first time I even knew there were rentals available INSIDE Yosemite. When deciding on where to stay, I was contemplating tenaya but when I found this unit which was so much closer, had full kitchen, laundry, AC, internet, and could accommodate the four of us for comparable price, it was a no brainer. We loved that the neighborhood was upscale and on the newer end of homes. This one was modern which suited our preferences. We kept commenting to each other while we were meal prepping how well everything was labeled and also well-stocked! When traveling, we don’t want to have to pack extras such as plastic wrap, oil and spices. This kitchen was awesome! We also chose this property Becky AC in every room because you never know when we are hit with a great wave in September. Turned out we didn’t need to turn anything on because the weather was so perfect.

It was hard to find in the dark our 1st time in. It was farther from sites than we realized. The kitchen was very well stocked. It was furnished nicely. We lost power one evening for over 4 hours. Luckily, electric candles and a lantern were provided. Our biggest complaint was cleanliness. The upstairs bathroom floor was filthy. There were long dark hairs (not ours) in tub. The toilet seat was very loose. There was dust and cobwebs throughout the cabin. To be clear. It is not inside the NP. The neighborhood's only entrance is inside the NP which eliminates the need to enter park repeatedly.

Great location for exploring all sections of Yosemite. The host provided excellent detail in advance of trip so that we knew what to expect and were well-prepared. Clean and cozy. The kitchen is better stocked than my own kitchen - Vitamix blender, pressure cooker, food processor, etc. If you need a gadget for a recipe, odds are very good you'll find it in this kitchen. Filtered water and plenty of ice were appreciated. Bedding and towels were comfortable/very good quality. Lots of puzzles and books closet full of kids toys. Enjoyed relaxing on the deck to start and end each day.

This was the perfect spot for our family vacation to Yosemite. While it's about 30 minutes to most of the main attractions in the Yosemite Valley, that's about as close as you are going to get unless you stay in one of the lodges in the park. But we loved the location and the quiet of the area. The kitchen is fully stocked with high quality pots, pans and utensils!

Great location but lacking in cleanliness

Loved the proximity to the park. The house was as nice as advertised and fit our family of 5 very well. The kitchen was well stocked with all we needed for meals. The deck was so peaceful and relaxing. The only downside was that it was not as clean as we expected. We had to do some initial cleaning in the bathroom, sweep off the deck and get rid of cobwebs, recycling from previous renter was still there, and there were cobwebs and in lots of places. For what we paid, I expected it to be cleaned better. Not up to the usual standards of the many VRBO’s we’ve stayed at.

Perfect for our family

Our family of 4 stayed here for our Yosemite vacation. The home was clean and well cared for. More than enough space to sleep, hang out, eat, etc. We especially appreciated the kitchen which had everything we could want or need for food prep and cooking. The location was very peaceful and tucked into Yosemite West. We liked the relatively close proximity of Yosemite West to Yosemite Valley. Before arriving, it was tricky to understand what "Yosemite West" meant and that it was technically in the park. This was particularly important because we heard about potential wait times to enter if you didn't arrive early in the morning.

3 Nights in Yosemite West

Pros:3 AC units and ceiling fans, so easy to keep cool on hot days.Luxury Bath Towels. All of the cupboards are labeled with contents.Open concept living/dining/kitchen with lots of natural light.Kitchen is well stocked with appliances, spices, coffee, etc.Refrigerator and dishwasher are brand new.Lots of books, puzzles, children's toys.Very quiet neighborhood. We didn't see or hear any neighbors.Cons:Mattress is very firm. Could use a plush topper.Bathrooms are very small.Deck planks are old, rotting and loose with exposed nails. The host is planning to replace the deck in August, so be careful until then. The property is located at the very bottom of Yosemite West, so it will take you around 10 minutes to get up to highway 41.The driveway is very steep and narrow.

This home was perfect for our family of 3 adults. It has everything you need other than food! The kitchen is so well appointed with high-quality items (cookware, glassware, utensils, appliances). So many spices! The toiletries, towels and linens were great as well. Beds are very comfy. I loved all the labels...helps to keep the home organized. Weather was perfect during our visit...we spent time on the deck and utilized the grill. Home is a little "deep" into West Yosemite (approx 12 minute drive from Route 41) but not a game-changer. We would highly recommend this home!

Perfect location within park

The house included all the amenities you could possibly need- including oil, vinegar, every seasoning you could think of, paper towels, etc (I would check what’s in the kitchen before buying something.) The beds and pillows were extremely comfortable- compared to other houses we have rented in the past. The house no longer has a Satellite (as stated) - but the streaming pay channels are definitely an upgrade. The bathroom tub/shower combination is smaller verses the normal size and does not have any grab grabs. Definitely recommend bringing a couple of collapsible cooler bags to transport food to and from grocery stores and park excursions. We cooked almost every night and prepped for lunch and breakfast for the following day. You will pay a huge premium if you shop in the park and the choices are limited- I definitely recommend buying in Oakhurst beforehand. The house does a a nice size fridge w/ ice maker BUT to keep everything ice cold in the foldable cooler we froze water in 36 oz Gatorade and put them in the cooler bottles -worked great. * We stayed/hiked for 7 days- best bet, get to the valley early (by 10) park your car (use this as ur home base - you can easily go back and forth to car) and use the shuttle to go to all 17 stops. IF U DONT- u will find it difficult to find parking spots through out the day. We also brought collapsible golf chairs thus allowing us to relax/picnic anywhere! - especially near El Capitan so we could watch the climbers with binoculars.

Great location to stay for accessing different areas of Yosemite NP. Glacier Point Road is nearby. 35 minute drive to Yosemite Valley or Mariposa Grove. The property is clean and will organized (labeling throughout). The bedding and seating are quite comfortable. The kitchen is modern and well stocked. Linens are fresh and luxurious. Our party of 4, two couples, found the property to be adequately spacious for us. Because we had good weather for our week, we spent our days out exploring, and never found the opportunity to explore the books, games and puzzles available in the Chalet. We did not use the grill or back deck seating, but often checked the thermometer out there to see how warmly to dress for the day. Enjoyed sitting on the front deck, observing the activity of wildlife.I highly recommend this property and thank the owners for allowing us to spend a week in Yosemite paradise.

Best stocked kitchen ever

Had a wonderful week here enjoying Yosemite Notational Park! My family of 4 flew from Ohio to enjoy spring break and were extremely comfortable and happy with chalet. One of the best stocked and organized kitchens you will ever find in a rental! Everything you needed to know was clearly labeled and explained in the binder. Would absolutely rent again!
