Zaborovye is a place with stacks of cool stories to tell. If you think your life's been a bit dull lately, a trip here is the perfect answer!

It lies 140 kilometres northwest of the capital of Russia, Moscow.

Once you've grabbed your pass at Sorochany, you won't want to waste any time getting to the top of the mountain! You might also like to jump on the chairlift and carve up the trails at Stepanovo Ski Resort.

Want even more attractions? Go to Goryutino, 15 kilometres northwest of Zaborovye, for the Museum ME Saltykov-Shchedrin and the Monument to Michail of Tver. Alternatively, Arkatovo is 16 kilometres to the northwest, and it's here you'll find the Tver State University and the Mikhail Krug Monument.

Tourists and locals alike often head over to Tver. This place is 19 kilometres away and close to the Tver Regional Drama Theatre, Tver City Park and the Tver City Museum and Exhibition Centre. If you're staying a little while, don't forget about Tchaikina Museum and Expo Centre and the Tver Theatre for Children and Youth.

Bird watching and wildlife watching are a couple of great ways to take a break while feeling the sun on your face.

When you're all set to fly off, give yourself ample time to get to Sheremetyevo Airport (SVO). Situated 120 kilometres to the southeast from the centre of Zaborovye, this is the nearest terminal.
