Ok for what we needed..

This was a last minute booking due to location being ideal for what we needed. The room was very small and we were not overly keen on the glass sliding door on the bathroom plus it didn't shut fully.

The hotel provide free water and soda. Face towels are provided besides hand towelsand bath towels. Besides these, no other toiletries and vanities are provided. Only 4 hangers on the rack. The bed is not comfortable. The air conditioning is barely minimum. The environment around the hotel is shabby. The food in the hotel restaurant is below average and the price is about twice of the popular restaurants in Zurich old town.

Decent hotel with non-working air conditioning

We stayed one night here before our trip back home. Overall, the value was there and the nightly rate was cheapest in the area for a sub-4 star hotel close to downtown. Amenities such as water, drinks, coffee, and ice were nice but had to be obtained through the adjoining restaurant which has its own operating hours - outside those hours, you are on your own. My biggest complaint comes from the air conditioning (AC) which was on standby mode for the entire day and night. The hotel advertises AC however they centrally control it where it does not run. This made our stay uncomfortable during the summer day/night where we opted to be outside our room as much as possible instead of being inside the hotel room. Front desk didn't do much to help and told us to open the door and window. Overall its a nice hotel but advertising air conditioning that was non-operational really drew my ire.

Pretty good stay

Our stay was good. It was comfortable except that I couldn't control the air conditioner, and I had trouble cooling off. The staff were helpful and offered a map with places to see. The tram is very close and there is a store nearby.

Very nice room and excellent AC

I arrived in Zurich during a heat wave and my only search criteria for a room was air conditioning. The Stoller had best AC I’ve found in Switzerland so far. I even had to raise temperature a little. The room itself was excellent. It was clean and well laid out. The room included complementary access to the mini bar - something you don’t see too often.

My recent stay at Hotel Stoller in Zurich, Switzerland, was an experience that felt straight out of a Wes Anderson film. From the moment I approached the charming pink exterior, I knew I was in for something unique. This distinctive aesthetic continued inside, with delightful, quirky touches like the purple bathrooms and the wonderfully classic locking doors that added to its old-world charm. Beyond its distinctive style, the hotel impressed with its fundamental qualities. It was impeccably clean, and the check-in process was remarkably easy and efficient. The staff were truly lovely, always ready with a smile and helpful assistance, contributing significantly to a pleasant atmosphere. While I can appreciate the hotel's character, I must admit it wasn't entirely to my personal taste. My preference generally leans towards more modern hotels, and the location, though accessible, wasn't my ideal spot in Zurich. However, it's crucial to emphasize that there was absolutely nothing wrong with Hotel Stoller itself. For travelers who appreciate a quirky but undeniably cute aesthetic and enjoy a hotel with a unique personality, Hotel Stoller is a solid choice. It offers a clean, welcoming environment with excellent service, making it a memorable stay for those who embrace its distinctive charm.
