Sydney hotels fit for celebs
I’m looking at a picture on Jennifer Hawkins’ Instagram account. She’s in sunny Bali, and smiling at me over her shoulder. In front is an ocean facing, curtain draped, outdoor, pillowy bungalow and the most amazing crystal blues.
Everything about it screams luxe and I haven’t even seen her hotel room yet. Curiously, I find myself wanting everything in the picture.

Turns out I’m not alone. We asked you on Facebook the other day:
Why are we so intrigued with celebrities? Why are they so powerful when it comes to travel seduction?
With the AACTAs (Australia’s local version of the Academy Awards, if you’re not in the know) around the corner, we know there’s a bunch of celebs set to descend on Sydney in January. So there will be plenty of envy going on when it comes to uber-luxe stays (if you’re prone to jealousy, probably best to avoid their Instagram accounts around this time!).
So with that in mind, here are the five most lust-worthy, celeb stays in Sydney.

The home of the AACTA’s and one of Sydney’s most exciting entertainment districts, the Darling is fit for a king/queen/celeb.
From the 400 thread Egyptian cotton sheets to the hand-picked pillow menu, the Darling has practically won a million awards like Best Tech Hotel, and made Conde Nast’s Top 60 Best New Hotels in the World. So you know it’s gonna be good.

There’s a 16-room day spa to relax those celebrity heads and the swimming pool smells of white tea and eucalyptus. That beats chlorine any day, right guys?
The goss: – Joel Madden, Leonardo Dicaprio, George Clooney and Stevie Wonder are rumoured to have all stayed here at one stage. And hey, if it’s good enough for George, it’s good enough for us 😉

Read our review on The Darling here.
Smack bang in the middle of Sydney Harbour, The Park Hyatt has seduced the likes of Elton John, Bette Midler Michael Buble, The Rolling Stones and Nicole Kidman.
Perhaps it’s the million dollar privacy renovations to the exclusive suites, that fact that you could almost touch the Harbour Bridge from the rooftop, the grand piano or the round-the-clock butler service… all we want to know is, can we come stay too?
The Intercontinental, Sydney
The Intercontinental is Sydney’s gem of the concrete jungle. Just a few blocks from Sydney Harbour, the Opera House and the Royal Botanic Gardens, the hotel’s water views rival the best in the world- just check this out!
The Intercontinental’s Australia Suite (245-square-metres on the 29th level!) is the celeb go-to room when they stay here and its fluffy pillows have reportedly comforted the famous heads of Russell Brand, Oprah Winfrey, Bill Clinton, Frank Sinatra and Pierce Brosnan. Ooh-la la.

Four Seasons, Sydney
The Four Seasons’ Hotel and its 39th Floor Presidential Suite are gasp worthy. With a four-poster king size bed, lounge and dining room that can accommodate 10 people (oh hello dinner party!) and views of the Harbour, CBD and the Opera House, you’ll have to pull yourself away from the window.
So who’s been privy to the Presidential Suite? Mick Jagger and the late King of Pop himself, Michael Jackson.
Shangri La, Sydney
It’s the Royal Suite which gets the most celeb lovin’ here and at 242 square metres- we understand why! It also has squeal-worthy views of the Harbour and the Opera House, a grand piano, dining area and an executive study.
So who’s been slinking around the Shangri La? Actress AnnaLynne McCord and Dominic Purcell.
So tell us: where do you think all the celebs will be staying in Sydney?

I’d pick QT Sydney or 1888 Hotels by 8 Hotels. And BTW, teh Club Lounge at Four Seasons Sydney is amazeballs.
