Staff very friendly but the place looks old and worn. We had to place towels on the wheels of the bed because when you sat or lay on the bed it would roll away and pillows fell behind the bed.
Lovely staff, good location, quiet, a bit tired in furnishings, no dining available and no natural light in the room - a window which wouldn’t stay open into a central space with glass painted white. Adequate.
Have stayed a number of times, the position is perfect, staff are very friendly and helpful. Room a good size with two queen beds. All amenities provided
Always a great place to stay. Staff are amazing and friendly. Air conditioning is questionable and parking isn’t great, but otherwise a good place to stay. Close to public transport and easy access to entertainment venues.

worn carpets in room. "drapes"not on tracks. no hot water in the room my daughter stayed in, staff notified many times about lack of hot water ( she had to shower in one of our other rooms ) , only one lift working ( only one working 3 years ago as well ) very hot in rooms, lumpy old pillows, not clean linen, one day room not even cleaned

The staff and my room was great, literally no complaints. However I feel like the corridor lights had a weird colour to it which made it seem a little unsafe. There was a random mattress in the corridor of my floor. And one of the lifts were broken with no sign of anyone trying to fix it.
Property in great location.
Property in desperate need of renovation. Dirty torn carpets and outdated worn furniture, mould in shower. Woken to Alarm activated at 3.16am with audible take no action which continued for 20 mins. Stayed 2 nights cost was an expensive $200 per night. Very disappointed.
Not good at all. This is the second time I have stayed at this hotel - both times for the AFL Gather Round which makes it pretty impossible to get a room in Adelaide when it’s on. I’ll start with the good - the location - right opposite the Adelaide Railway station and 5 minutes walk from the Adelaide Oval where all the Footy games are played. Now the not so good - property very dirty with a strange musty smell you never get used too. Walls paper thin and you can hear all of the noise from adjacent rooms and guests. One lift permanently out of order (out of two) - it was out of order on my previous stay two years previous so it seems that they’re not quick to fix things. And the worst experience was on my first night woke by an alarm that went on for 30 minutes with no explanation. I rang reception to ask was there a fire and they said they were investigating. The alarm went off and again no explanation - could I go back to sleep? Was there a fire? etc. I had to ring reception again at 3:30 to see if I could go back to sleep. When they eventually picked up the phone they said I could disregard the alarm. Death trap if anything really went wrong - avoid like the plague…
We really enjoyed our stay at Grosvenor Hotel. The property was easy to get to on public transport and the room was clean and comfortable.
There were lots of things to do within walking distance and lots of dining options around.
