The staff was warm and friendly and the views from the balcony were breathtaking. The town is small and we had to drive pretty far to get to the “happenings” but we loved coming back and relaxing.

I stayed here for a week, originally 4 days but I ended up extending my stay because it was so convenient to get to Amalfi by bus. It’s a little bit of the country side, but the town is small and filled with friends and family so it’s definitely safe. I’d come back as late as 11pm on the bus and felt comfortable walking to my hotel. The views are also AMAZING, I couldn’t get over it!

It was a well kept 95 year old hotel on top of a mountain giving a breathtaking view of the Amalfi coast. Nestled in the region of Agerola, it was a very peaceful area. There are lots of little local shops at walking distance from the hotel (pasticceria, enoteca, gelateria mini markets and local producers of cheeses and salumi. The staff was very friendly. The only downside would be the hardness of the mattress. Also, keep in mind that it's a 40 min drive up and down to go towards Napoli or Amalfi. We definitely recommend you stay for a great experience!

The hotel is beautifully perched on the hillside above the Amalfi Coast, but it is NOT on the coast. It is an hour or more with traffic to get to Positano and more or less the same to get to Amalfi. There is a bus, but it is still very different than described in Expedia. It is so distant in fact that we left a day early because of this. At the time, the manager said he would work with Expedia to get us a refund for the 1 night or even a partial refund for the 1 night, but has since refused. Don't stay here is you want to be on the Amalfi Coast or spend time on the coast.

We loved this hotel. The views are absolutely stunning, I honestly can’t think of a better property view wise on the amalfi coast. It sits on top of a mountain basically and oversees so much, you can see Positano very clearly. Some may complain about the location; we loved it. It’s about 35 minutes by car from amalfi and an hour from positano, Sorrento and Naples. We loved being away from the tourist madness, the town is small, intimate and walkable. Leonardo’s across the street is an unbeatable restaurant. Food is so freaking amazing and prices cheap, we went every night we were there. The only opportunity for improvement is the mattress, it was thin and not super comfortable. But if you walk enough you’ll be too tired to notice too much :).

Beautiful views but not great service

The views and location were incredible. Panaramic views were amazing from anywhere in the hotel and the balconies. But, the hotel was not exactly as advertised. Service was near non-existent, we did not receive a bottle of wine as promised, and the bar and restaurant that was advertised did not seem to be open. A/C in our room was not very effective. That all said, the views made up for it, and it was a nice point to take the bus to Amalfi.

Amazing quiet gem of a hotel.

A family-owned, family-run amazing Wes Anderson style hotel on a priceless cliff. Cannot believe how easy is it to take one shuttle to Amalfi, safely - no parking hassles, low stress, shuttles on the hour. Amalfi is mobbed. Also 3 miles from the Hike of the Gods entrance, above Positano. A quiet gem. Dated but in the most charming way. Wish I could retire here. Quiet, honored, off the map gem.
