Good stay

Great location, short walk to central station and on the tram line for the museum area. Lots of restaurants nearby. Staff were excellent. Room was small but that may have been because I’m a solo traveller.

I recently stayed in the Westcord Hotel City Center Amsterdam and unfortunately, my experience fell short due to poor communication and lack of follow through. While the property itself may have its strengths, proper coordination is an essential part of guest experience.

Hidden Gem in Amsterdam!

Hidden Gem. Room was compact but clean and had every amenity that you’d need. Close to Amsterdam Centraal and a quick walk to many of the districts within Amsterdam. Great breakfast buffet that’s so worth the price. Very Friendly and helpful staff to help with any needs. Highly recommend.

My stay at this hotel was far from what I expected. I made the reservation in advance without any warning about ongoing renovations, only to be informed the day before arrival that there would be painting and construction during my visit. This last-minute notice was frustrating and definitely affected my experience. The room I was given faced an interior area, so it had no access to natural light, and the noise and activity outside the window made it difficult to relax. To make matters worse, the carpet was noticeably stained and seemed like it hadn't been properly cleaned in a long time, which made the space feel neglected. I reached out to see if I could be relocated to another room or even a different property, but the staff said there were no alternatives available. I found the level of customer service to be disappointing for a place that should prioritize guest comfort. I'm hoping the management takes this feedback seriously and offers at least a partial refund. If that happens, I’ll consider updating this review.

Poor room designed. If the desk was placed u beneath the TV & the head of the bed against the wall there would be far more usable area.

Great welcome from all the staff. Polite and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble for them. They offered helpful tips on how to get around, booked tours for us. Can't praise them enough.

Area is good, lobby and resteraunt food and area was excellent, rooms were very small and cheap motel 6 style. Bathrooms were updated. And nice. Lighting was different i had to phone lobby to know how to turn lights on. Quiet all night then construction noise in morning. Window looked out to next buildings window 5 feet away no view looked like mill shaft.
Entry door and desk backed up to bed, 2 chairs and no where to move, they did have a small side closet we did not use.
Head of bed buts up to desk with small 1 foot walk around. Foot of bed buts up to 70's style carpet wall. Beds were comfortable and bathrooms were nice

The hotel was great, staff was friendly, everything was wonderful, but our room was not suitable for plus size people. At least not the restroom. I barely fit to use the toilet and opted to use the lobby bathroom instead.
