Liked: Cleanliness, room comfort
Disliked: Property conditions & facilities
It will be lovely someday I hope
The room was great! However, Hotel under construction - awkward entrance, temporary front desk, no elevator. Neighborhood had lots to see and do - however, the significant homeless situation on the streets made me uncomfortable. No restaurant. (yet)
Newly renovated hotel! Beautiful property, modern, convenient to walk around. Plenty of dining options! Highly recommend. (On sight property restaurant is not complete yet. Looks amazing though. Should be open within a month.
Great property - currently doing a renovation but was still outstanding. Comfortable bed and pillows. Super nice front desk staff. Walk to many great restaurants.
Hi, the staff were great when we checked in. I did not know I had to pay for parking. I was a little sad to learn that the property was undergoing a renovation and I could not use the fitness room. They gave me a partial refund which was nice. They were very responsive to my needs while I was there. I will definitely go back once they are finished to stay!
The Aviator was being renovated when we stayed there so the lobby was temporary and the parking situation wasn't ideal However, they should be done with renovations by summer.
Loved the room -- it was well-appointed and comfortable. The fridge was super cute.
The standout at this hotel, however, was the customer service. Every single staff member we talked to was very friendly and went out of their way to help us out. In particular the tall security guard (whose name I'm sorry I've forgotten) went above and beyond. Kudos to whoever is doing the hiring and training, because the staff is exceptional!
Later in our visit we stayed at a different famous downtown Anchorage hotel, but we like the Aviator better even though it was much less expensive. I will be staying at the Aviator from now on when I'm in Anchorage.
Rooms were beautiful and nicely upgraded. The area around it, specifically our room, looked directly at construction and eye level with guys working. Making it very difficult to have our blinds open. Overall a beautiful hotel but the area around wasn’t the greatest.
The room itself was fine and the staff was friendly and helpful. However, there was a lot of noise from outside that could be heard in the room and several homeless persons wandering the hallway looking for a room, stating the building had been a shelter for them previously. The location was convenient but would not be my first choice when I go back to the area.
