Its a 1300 sq ft in the basement level that comfortably accommodates up to 7 adult guests + 2 children in 2 bedrooms with 1 king bed and 1 full bed, Toddler bed, and 1 queen bed, plus a full size hide a bed couch and a Pack 'n Play.
Convenient combination deadbolt entry lock for easy 24/7 check-in.
Entire guest floor is private and your home away from home, including fully stocked open kitchen, dining and living space, 1 full bathroom, laundry room, built-in sauna and a large parking lot.
There are 10 steps going down to the unit.
All linens provided, washer and dryer available for use, as well as a hairdryer, ironing board, and iron. We also provide washer detergent, dish soap, shampoo, soap, and body wash, coffee maker, electric teapot, wine bottle opener, and much more, so you don't have to worry about anything during your stay.

Apartment is also equipped with nice built-in Sauna and Ping pong table. Sauna is $20 per hour for electric and cleaning expenses.

Make sure you know this is in someone’s home and is in the basement with several stairs in case you have knee or hip issues or elderly. Checking in was very easy and was well equipped. Close and handy to several places to eat/shop and sight see.

I appreciated that they let us check in approximately 30 minutes early. The pictures when I booked weren't exactly how the property looked when we got there. It wasn't a deal breaker but it might have swayed whether I booked it or not. I didn't realize it was a basement apartment but it was clean. We only stayed one night traveling between Valdez to Homer.

Great place for our Anchorage home base

This well supplied basement apartment was a great place to stay while exploring Anchorage and Seward. It was easy to check in and out and had everything we needed. Kitchen was well stocked and plenty of linens were provided. Host responded quickly to questions.

Not for us. This rental is part of the family's house located in the basement and they're now trying to rent it out. Kids stuff in the hall, DVD stacked, TV antenna was not placed in an optimal location so channel continually goes in and out. Ping Pong table shoved in the middle of the room. Extra bed in with the king. It does have a sauna, which we didn't use but the place felt like an after thought not a rental. One positive the shower pressure was good and hot. Compared to our 3 other places rented in AK this was but far our worst.

Comfortable beds, kitchen area fair, lights on motion and really didn’t like, no hairdryer, washer had a slight mildew, very humid I dumped a full container from the humidifier that was there and used it overnight and it was full by morning. I felt the picture amenities were inaccurate. No bidet as picture showed and if you wanted to use the sauna it was an extra charge per person per hour. Don’t like the nickle & dime however we did get a phenomenal rate so for that cheaper price yes I would stay again.

The property was a lovely 2 bedroom apartment in an easily accessible, upscale neighborhood in south Anchorage. The place was very comfortable, all amenities advertised were available, and the hosts were very accommodating. It was all as advertised and more! And the cost of the rental was unbeatable!

Huge space in a basement

First, I'll say that this is a meticulously clean unit with a lot of great features including a very large space, a full kitchen (less dishwasher), laundry room, and in-room sauna (additional cost). When we arrived, the smoke detectors were missing and the host replaced the two nearest the bedrooms the next day.But, you're living in someone's converted basement. The space is more "family/guest bonus area" than "welcoming short term rental". You'll hear the voices and footsteps of the host's family. At some points, it sounded like they were moving pianos up there, but they were rarely up early in the morning nor did they stay up late at night.Take some time to note where the lights and light switches are -- they're not where you think.Lighting is generally poorly designed with a random smattering of cool white LED puck lighting in the main area. The bathroom lighting is the worst. The entire bathroom is quite dim and there is no light in the shower. This is a below ground unit with two windows -- one in the master bedroom and one in the TV area. From the parking area entry, there is an indoor stairway leading down. Luggage and groceries will be going up and down a staircase.The furniture in the TV area is well past its useful life and the carpeted areas are pretty worn.If you need the space, you can't beat the value, but if you don't, there are better choices available.
