Unique countryside and history, could have been wonderful. Fellow visitor's have been great Front of house was terrible and very unwelcoming. Tour guide was great.
Fantastic eco environment amazing work
Only criticism is there was little or no acknowledgement of country. Even a sign on entry would be good. Not sure if this is policy. An example was the guide told us Mawson was the first conservationists. Not so the First Nations people were.
The facilities were very good and seeing the emu’s euro’s and wallabys with no goats was fantastic. Thanks
Great location, remote Australian bush. Takes time to get there but worth it. Dirt roads from Blinman so you need a goood car. Heaps of wild life. The stars are amazing.
Noisy front of staff rude
Purchased a bottle wine at bar
10 minutes later asked to leave and sit outside with the flies as they had to shut at 5.30 pm no notice when we purchased the wine other patrons were also told to leave it very hot and no shade
Rooms were so noisy as the walls to next room were thin
Even hearing next door talking and snoring
Wonderful location and had a great 8 day stay doing lots of hiking.
However for the entire stay we had a fridge that didn't work. Complained daily but not once did anyone bother come to look. Just said sorry. Well we lost over $100 worth of food and ended up having to eat at their restaurant 4 times ($100 each time)as nowhere to restock food and ran out of long life food. If it wasn't for our own car fridge we wouldn't have had cold water. Won't rely on a fridge anywhere again. 😕
It seemed no one in charge. Staff just leave notes.
Lovely staff but sadly the room we had was tired mainly as the bathroom was unpleasant and the floor was very gritty( we take our shoes off when entering accommodation so it was very evident that the floor had not been swept)
Also despite 2 bath towels and a bath mat, there was no hand towel which meant we had to use one of the bath towels as a hand towel- this could potentially be a hygiene issue.
The ridge top trip was excellent, learning so much from our guides, Gary and Macca. They were impressive!
