I love this lodging. It's the only hotel I've stayed at in Asheville in the downtown area and it could not be more convenient to everything. I travel with my dog and we walk everywhere; this hotel is the perfect vector point to walk in any direction. I feel safe enough, though hearing and seeing homeless folks on that block is not remotely uncommon. I've never had a safety issue. On my most recent visit, I received a text from the management saying my nightly rate had been reduced significantly simply because the rate was now lower than when I had booked several months earlier. That's unheard of! I was also allowed to check in about 2 hours early simply because my room was ready, hugely helpful because it also gave me a place to park (I believe all parking in the downtown area is paid parking). I will happily continue to give this property all of my business when I come to Asheville.

Great place to stay!

We were in town for one night for my daughter’s dance competition. Downtown Inn was clean, affordable, and in a convenient location. As a single mother, I appreciated the low price but still in a safe area. Breakfast options were good and the food was good. We will absolutely use this as our home away from home for any future trips to Asheville!

Very close to downtown and walkable ! Pricing and location is the main point ! The bedroom were dated but kept clean and ready for our arrival . We loved the adjacent rooms for our family and kids but the night was noisy as it was downtown . Great staff , location and easy parking. Will stay here again.

The place was really sketchy. On our second night someone tried to forcefully break into our room while we were sleeping. Terrifying experience, we ended up checking out early because we were too scared to be there any longer.

The staff were friendly and accommodating. The hotels location was perfect for our needs. While it is an older property and could use some updates we were impressed by the cleanliness. They offer free breakfast with hot and cold options. The only complaint would be it was rather loud from street noise and neighboring rooms. I would stay here again if in area.

The property is older, but the owners/management obviously take pride in the care of the hotel. I loved the fountains they have placed around. I had to cut my stay short by a night. I fully anticipated paying for the last night, but the manager insisted on refunding it. That made a big impression on me. This was my first time staying here, but not my last. I will definitely stay again.
