Ares Athens Hotel provided a mostly comfortable stay for my friend and I this weekend. The beds were a little hard, but from the amount we walked everyday, we fell right asleep every night. The rooms were mostly clean except for finding hairs on the sheets and on the blankets. The location, although a little sketchy at night, was a very short walk to all of the tourist attractions and very good food. The cleaning service was great and the staff was very friendly. Definitely would recommend if you’re on a budget.

Good location for walking to see the sights. Nothing fancies about the hotel. It is clean and had a nice balcony that if you lean out, you can see the fountain of Omonoia.

The hotel is not in the centre . It’s on the outskirts of where you want to be. This is an honest review. It’s the dirtiest hotel I’ve been to. There were stains on the pillow case. The fridge didn’t work and was in an old broken cupboard . I felt very unsafe here even when I checked in mid afternoon. I immediately took photos and went online to find somewhere else to stay despite having paid for 4 nights in advance. I took the key to reception and told them and they didn’t seem surprised that I left.

Perfect Budget Friendly Hotel, with all the basic necessities that you need! Conveniently located in the Center of the City, making it very accessible to catch all the Transportation options in Athens! The Staff was extremely kind and helpful! The property was not cleaned properly,when we checked in the room had not been cleaned. The wifi was very slow, there were bare wires. It was in a good spot. There were fleas and bedbugs. The hotel photos are not the hotel now.

You get what you pay for. This property was in a rough area of the city, so do not stay if you are a single female. -The bed was so hard that my girlfriend and I woke up with back pain every morning. -The bathroom was tiny and the shower head kept falling down out of its holder. -The sink had no where to place toiletries. -The towels were thin and had the name of the hotel in black marker. -There was no safe in the room to lock away valuables and the maids clean every day whether you want them to or not. -The one positive is that the A/C worked well.
