I’m very disappointed in this hotel. It says it’s a 5 star but I think it’s more 3 star. Don’t get me wrong the lobby, roof top restaurant and staff was 5 star. But rooms and service was more like 3 star. The bed was so uncomfortable. I asked for a queen size bed but they gave us two twin beds:( my boyfriend and I had trouble sleeping. The maids walked in on us twice to clean the room while we were still sleeping. Good thing we only stayed two nights. Location was good but for being a “5 star” hotel, I expected better. I paid $700 for two nights and I don’t think it was worth it for the quality of the room.

5 stars back in the 1980s not anymore.

Says 5 stars and yes possibly was back in the 1980s not up to standards very uncomfortable beds pulling apart when you sleep, also smells old so as hallways and rooms, drinks very expensive in bars so we didn't drink at all The only 5 stars i will give is for the buffet breakfast and the stuff members Apparently the best hotel in Atherns maybe so but we travel alot and definitely a 4 stars it it wasn't for the awsome breakfast be 3.5 stars. Also i have to add that the rooms are super expensive but i think whole Europe like that now.

Great property.. lil away from the city center but within mins away .. breakfast buffet has a great spread with fresh honey a legit honeycomb .. rooftop pool and bar and restaurant is wonderful with amazing view of the city and view of Acropolis .

Very nice hotel with rooftop pool bar and restaurant. Staff were great and rooms were very comfortable. Not right in the heart of downtown Athens but lots of bars and a few good restaurants within walking distance. I would definitely stay here again

Divani Caravel Athens is not a 5 star hotel

Athens and Greece were fantastic! We stayed for 10 days. Our two night stay at Divani Caravel was rotten. The front desk folks were rude, repeatedly, over several days. Last morning there we were called in 10 minute increments beginning one hour before checkout REMINDING us that checkout was in an hour. The hotel is definitely not a 5 star accommodation. We stayed at two other 5 star spots that were, One in Athens. Would not recommend this hotel to anyone. The premises, rooms, stafff, restaurant were less than expected.
