If the air goes out, you are on your own

The hvac was out and I was told they didn’t know which rooms had air and which rooms did not. Our room was so hot and that was the front desk’s excuse for not accommodating a room switch. I called the front desk and was told they would be bringing a fan to our room. An hour later, I had to go to the front desk for one and they said I was not on the list to get a fan. The only way I got one was from a helpful maintenance man who was delivering fans to other rooms.

Roach in the bed

First off the card machine would not take our Mastercards and kept declining. Nothing was wrong in our banks side but that just started the nightmare. At 12:30 at night a roach crawled across my phone and went into my husband. The front desk only offered to switch our room. The room they moved us to was not properly cleaned.

Likes- suite room was really nice. Clean, quiet and comfortable. Safe was broken. One bar of soap the size of a match box. Buffet breakfast was nice. Staff was friendly and helpful. Dislikes- happy hour was a nice feature however there was not enough staff to serve everyone. 2 nd nite there was no waitress in the dining room. Ordered chicken quesadillas- no chicken! Ordered pepperoni pizza- no pepperoni! Ordered Diet Coke- no Diet Coke! They advertise all these features but they are lacking follow through! Won’t stay here again.

No shuttle ?

Firstly, it was never clear to me from the start that I was booked into Embassy Suites SOUTH. I learned of the difference from the driver for the ES NORTH. Eventually waited 45 minutes and no shuttle arrived. It was 25* F and cold. The NORTH driver came back through 30 minutes later and picked me and another guest up, and brought us to ES SOUTH. It was very kind of her. In the morning the shuttle from ES hotel to the airport was on time.

Expected more for the cost

The room never got warm. At night it wouldn't get above 69 degrees. The indoor pool was not available. The breakfast was plentiful but no variety from day to day. The chef making omelets was only there one of three mornings. One morning there was no white milk for cereal. At dinner our first two choices from the menu were unavailable. A comfortable easy chair in the room would have been appreciated. The three chairs provided killed my back after sitting in them. The snack area had very few food choices.
