Nice hotel, but no hot water in the shower

The hotel has a very cool, contemporary industrial aesthetic. The staff was without exception, very friendly, professional, and engaging. The food at the restaurant was decent, but nothing to write home about. Unfortunately, my one major grip would keep me from staying there again. At best we were able to get some warm water in the shower, but it alternated between hot and cold during the daytime. On Friday night when we returned from a music festival much in need of a shower, the water was ice cold with no hot water whatsoever. Looking back through reviews it seems that this is a known issue and one they have not yet addressed, so I would not return to this property until I were as Certain that problem had been resolved.

Great for the price! We stayed for the Laufey concert at State Farm Arena, and it was about a 20 minute walk there and back. Tracy at the front desk was super sweet and helpful, told us what street to talk for a straight walk to the venue! She also provided excellent service <3 Only con with the room was that the bathrooms don’t have a exhaust fan in them, so if you take long showers you might have to keep the bathroom door open so it doesn’t turn into a shower in there. Otherwise, excellent experience!

Terrible hotel that just opened up this year.

I stayed here during Dragoncon 2025 since it was the only available hotel and the reviews looked decent. The hotel had only been open about a month before my stay, which probably explains the limited number of reviews. Unfortunately, my experience was disappointing. When I arrived, the front desk staff struggled with my check-in and seemed inexperienced, and even the general manager who assisted had a noticeable stain on his shirt, which felt unprofessional. I checked in early and left my luggage at the front desk, but was made uncomfortable when I was asked what was inside. Retrieving my luggage later took quite some time. The room was very dusty with no windows, making it feel claustrophobic and triggering my allergies because of the poor air quality. The location also felt unsafe, with a lot of homeless people visible nearby. Things didn’t improve with the facilities. For three consecutive mornings, there was no hot water in the shower. I called the front desk and was told it was due to too many people using the showers, which felt like a poor excuse. I tried asking for the manager but was told only the engineers could help, and even after keeping the water running for 15 minutes, it stayed cold. When it did finally warm up, it lasted less than two minutes before turning cold again. The breakfast from the hotel restaurant was another letdown: I was served tiny pancakes that tasted like they had just come from a microwave rather than being freshly made.

New hotel, wonderful amenities. Comfortable, safe, very clean. Hotel has a restaurant called the Social Capital where I ate breakfast and dinner and was served by the most friendly staff. They were very attentive and provided amazing service. Food was delicious. The room was more spacious than I anticipated with lush bedding and thoughtful touches to make my stay comfortable. I appreciate the extra hooks in bathroom and nice desk in the room. It is also stylish…minimal without feeling stark. I will definitely stay here again!I imagine the rate was so reasonable due to it being new because it was nicer than many hotels I have stayed who charge three times as much!

Fantastic Stay in the Heart of Atlanta!

I recently stayed at Origin Atlanta, a Wyndham Hotel during my trip to Atlanta, and I couldn’t be more pleased. From check-in to check-out, the experience was smooth and professional. The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating—especially Front Desk Staff members who went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable. The room was clean, modern, and well-equipped with everything I needed. Location-wise, the hotel is perfect. The amenities were also top-notch: Comfortable beds Clean and spacious bathroom Overall, I would highly recommend Origin Atlanta, a Wyndham Hotel to anyone visiting Atlanta—whether for business or vacation. I’ll definitely be back!

Very nice and spacious room. Comfortable bed and the towels were amazing. It was walkable to State Farm arena and Mercedes Benz Stadium so perfect for concert goers. Only gripe is if you stay in the bedrooms with the windows facing the lobby you can hear music. Other than that, I’d stay and recommend to my friends.

We enjoyed are stay at Origin Hotel Downtown Atlanta. The staff was pleasant and the hotel was relatively quiet, peaceful. It’s a modern layout & has the cutest gift shop. We were in Atlanta briefly for a sporting event.

You can tell that the hotel is very new, but they need to hire. There was no one to help with bags to our room so the concierge asked housekeeping to help. We went down to breakfast and was never assisted after waiting for an hour. At checkout I had to ask for a receipt to see items that were charged to my room.
