Book Autaugaville hotels

Upon check in the key card machine was not working, found out next day had been a few days since it did work. Felt locked in and for good reason. Many other guests had the same problem. No hand towels or a bar of soap, however there was shampoo?! Common deceny should dictate soap before shampoo! Bring everything you need to this property. Surprisingly they did provide toilet. Not happy at all.

Great place to stay in Montgomery. Close for walking to all the sights. Staff was very friendly and helpful, king-size room had a kitchen and the breakfast they serve exceeded our expectations.

The reservation was booked through hotels.com, but when we arrived we were told that the reservation had been canceled. The hotel gave no reason, just that it had been canceled. We showed them the reservation confirmation, but it fell on deaf ears. I've used hotels.com for years, but no more.

PROS: The facilities: The room and hotel seem very new. The facility is well taken care of and clean. The amenities in the room are very nice. There were two elevators that were always available and were pretty quick. The layout is very logical and clean (easy to find your room). Inside the room: There was a full size refrigerator, microwave, and dishwasher; Basically, everything and the kitchen sink. The bathroom was modern and shower was very nice. The room was extremely spacious and luxurious. The staff was great! The front desk was friendly and helpful and were able to answer any questions i had. The breakfast was very nice and equivalent to some of the better hotels i've stayed. CONS: The only detractors that I found were: The parking. Parking says free, and it is if you park on the street, but the hotel parking lot charges $20 a night. Which is not listed in the hotel information. However, the location is regularly patrolled by municipal police and the area seems generally safe and secluded if not in an older/abandoned part of down. There is a train that goes by nearly every 2 - 3 hours and honks it's horn loudly. You can hear it easily over the A/C. However, there are other hotels that charge 2 or 3 times as much as the Home2 Suites that are subject to the same thing in the area, so it's just a thing. The only other thing i found as a detractor, but it's really not a big thing, is EVERYTHING outside the room is extra cost (workout room, etc...).
