We recently stayed at a La Quinta by Wyndham property while in town for my daughter’s dance competition, and unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing from the moment we arrived. Upon entering the room, there was a strong mildew smell that immediately made the space feel unclean and uncomfortable. It was also clear the room had not been properly serviced prior to our arrival. The bathroom was not clean, with visible urine stains at the base of the toilet, and the trash had not been emptied. The bedding also had an unpleasant odor, which made it difficult to feel comfortable using it during our stay. In addition to the cleanliness issues, there were several maintenance problems that significantly impacted our comfort. The in-room phone did not work at all, so I had to use my personal cell phone to contact the front desk for assistance. The heating system was also malfunctioning—it would briefly produce heat and then switch back to cold air after only a few minutes, making it very difficult to stay warm, especially at night. Because of this, I ended up sleeping in my husband’s hoodie each night and avoided using the blankets due to their smell. There were also concerns with billing. My credit card was charged twice, including an unexpected charge in the middle of the night that triggered a fraud alert on my account. This added unnecessary stress to an already uncomfortable stay. Easy, comfortable and convenient; rooms and public spaces are nice, modern and stylish updates of modest 60s/70s original motel facilities.

The room was wonderful. Super large, clean amazing bathroom and front foyer to relax after the great walk in shower. Very roomy. Great. I loved that the Brewery was next door which was amazing.

Run, don’t walk away from this hotel. I’d rate it negative if i could. BED BUGS The hotel smells of stale food, it’s shabby. All of which could be dealt with for cheap accommodations. But they also have bed bugs. The hotel staff was not helpful, understanding or accommodating. They seem comfortable and unable to understand that bed bugs are a health risk and concern. They also will not refund you. Should you choose to risk it. If you are looking for a dirty, shabby, bed bug infested hotel, Days Inn SUNY is the hotel for you.
