The place to be at the lake

We enjoyed our time at the Lake hotel comfortable great views, nice food and bar and great staff. I would definitely recommend and I would stay again.

Lovely hotel in a great location

Lovely hotel in a fantastic location with gorgeous views. Breakfast was fantastic and great musicians playing in the evenings. They also make great cocktails. We just had one evening meal there which was quite disappointing, chicken wings and seafood linguini were both very bland. We might have just got unlucky with our choice. Love the work the hotel is doing to be more sustainable, particularly replacing water in the rooms with water stations around the hotel. However, I was shocked and disappointed to see disposable coffee cups left out for guests to take from the restaurant after breakfast given Killarney is working so hard to replace disposal cups with keep cups. The only time I saw a disposable cup while in Killarney was around the hotel. Easy to solve, just have keep cups with a deposit for guests.

We stayed here for 6 days and I can honestly say the staff went out of their way to make everything a very pleasant experience . The restaurant food was excellent, the breakfast was good with many choices , the pub served well made drinks and nicely poured pints. Seeing the local deer herd was a bonus. The Muckross Abbey is within walking distance. The jaunting carts do pick ups at the hotel. Killarney center is s stone throw away. I can recommend!!

Amazing time at The Lake Hotel

I had an amazing time at The Lake Hotel! The room was the perfect size and the beds were very comfortable. We had a view of the lake and a beautiful sunset every night. It was in walking distance of the Killarney National Park and Muckross House. The city was a short drive from the hotel. Only thing is we did not have A/C in our room and it was hot during our stay. We had a fan but it did not make a difference. It was not supposed to be so warm during the time we were there but we were fortunate to have a beautiful week in Ireland.

The lake and property are stunning. That alone is a reason to stay at this hotel. Breakfast was always wonderful. It is located near the National Park. The hotel room was large and had a comfortable bed. The staff in the smaller restaurant were poorly trained. It took15 minutes for them to arrive with a menu. We had to get up and go to them as we could never get their attention when we needed something. It took 3 tries to get a correct bill. I would recommend it overall.

We LOVED our stay at the Lake Hotel! What a wonderful and restful time spent there! The breakfast included was amazing and they had many gluten free options. The spa was amazing (be sure to pre book)! We loved the sauna (very hot) and the infinity pool had amazing jet features that were great after the long drive from Dublin! The only challenge was cooling the room down as we had so much sunshine and found the room hot in the evening! We had a balcony and were able to open the doors to cool down! Overall amazing stay and we’d love to go back!!! The best views and easy accessible parking!
