This was one of our favorite lodging experiences on a 17-day trip to Ireland and Scotland. The hotel is a lovely historic property in a lovely town convenient to Dublin. Our rooms were clean and updated. Although the food at the hotel restaurant is quite good (better than typical, in my experience), we were particularly pleased to "discover" Dempsey's, a traditional, local pub just up the street.
Do yourself a favor and spend a day (or half day) in the nearby (10 minutes drive) coastal town of Skerries. It was recommended to us by a local as a more convenient alternative to Dun Laoghaire south of Dublin. Skerries didn't disappoint. It's a wonderful town!
Overall, we were extremely pleased both with the Bracken Court Hotel, and with Balbriggan and the surrounding area!
