Lovely hotel in the centre of the gothic quarter in Barcelona. The room was nice and very large. I was on a ground-floor room and had an inside window so was quite dark. As there was no natural light, although the hotel was nice I would not stay again as I feel that it was very expensive for what it was.

This hotel is in the amazing Gothic quarter, although it is a modern hotel with all the amenities. They both have a fixed price breakfast or a cafe where you can get food a la carte. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

Wonderful hotel!! We very much enjoyed our stay here. We were on the 6th floor and our room was lovely! Comfortable beds, nice size bathroom and lots of amenities. It’s also the same floor as the pool and great outdoor sitting area. The breakfast was wonderful - lots to choose from and great coffee machine. We bought sandwiches and goodies from the little cafe in the lobby and they were great. The hotel is totally walkable to many different areas of Barcelona and the beach. If I ever return to Barcelona - this is the hotel I will choose to stay at!

The hotel is located close to many of the key things to visit/see. There are lots of small bars, shops, tapas bars near by. The streets in the area are very narrow and getting a taxi to drop you off at the hotel can be a challenge!

Excellent location in the heart of the gothic quarter. You can walk to everything, including the metro and the Rambla. The beach is about a 15 minute walk as well. I enjoyed my stay. The staff was terrific and knowledgeable. Very clean Hotel comfortable beds. I would stay there again.

I had a great stay at the Catalonia Avinyo. Lot of good points to the hotel. It’s a just a 10 minute walk from the Liceu metro station. There are a lot of dining and shopping nearby. It’s also very close to the main attractions like the Barcelona cathedral. Just a few negative points. It’s right in the gothic district which is similar to the French quarter. It’s very loud at night if you have a street view window. You can ask for an interior room. Several of the staff were very helpful and friendly, but you will find at some hotels in Spain they don’t really have the same concierge system that we have in the US where hotels in tourist areas will go out of their way to promote other businesses and give you tourist tips.
