Great budget hotel, fantastic location

Really central and very reasonably priced hotel, with all amenities. The room is basic, but clean and a bit quirky. The booking says 'valet parking', but you have to go to the street behind and park in the car park. You can ask for the hotel to stamp your ticket so you get the parking half price.

Great Location but room not as expected

Located in a great part of Barcelona, close to restaurants and shopping, transport and attractions. Room was small and very noisy. Could hear neighbours and plumbing sounds at all hours. Not as shown in photos.

Very economical, budget saver hostal

This is a very affordable hostal and considering how much I paid for 3 people (2 adults & 1 teen-ager, I can actually say that I made the right decision in booking here. The room is small but it has 3 beds 1 queen + 2 single ones. The room looks old but it has a good air conditioning & heating system. The bath room has enough space & it even has a huge bath tub which we do not have time to use. Remember to bring your own toiletries because their shampoo & bodywash isn't that great. I always bring our own toiletries anyways. My favorite part is that this hostal has the best bed/matress that I ever slept for a long time. I mean, I wanted to know the brand name of the matress so I can buy one but I forgot to do it since we were so busy touring around. I have back problems & when I laid in this bad, it was perfect for me & actually my companions said the sain thing how they like the foam in heir beds. The rooms are not sound proof so we were able to hear some people talking from the other rooms but it was ok for me since I was sleeping in a comfortable bed & slept like a baby. For the price we paid, I cannot ask for more- absolutely, I will stay in this hostal again next time coz anyway, I only use the room to sleep then galavanting & touring the area all day is the purpose. This hostal saves me a lot of money w/ the enough comfort that We need to recharge for the night. Lastly, the front desk are so helpful & friendly. Yes they are there 24/7.

Great Hostal

A great hostal that helped me catch up on much need sleep lost in hostels. Staff were friendly and helpful, the building was quiet, and in a great location. Would definitely stay again.

I would definitely stay here again! Even though the room is very basic, the cost of staying was very low and reasonable. And, the location and the kind 24-hour staff makes this place a great deal for the money. Only complaint, I repeatedly couldn't get access to the wifi in the room, but only in the lobby--that needs to be remedied! Thank you!

Barcelona Adventure

Our stay was pleasant. The room was cleaned everyday and new towels were provided. The location is near tourist areas particularly Le Cathedral, Ramblas and University of Barcelona. We liked the fact that coffee shops and bars were just walking distance. We went for after dinner drinks and the bars in the area were open.

Good Experience

When i had first arrived with my family,the room looked completely different from the photos on the internet.The rooms were cleaned very well everyday and there was a good connection of free WiFi. The view from our room, on the first floor, was decent as we could only look out to gardens and flats.Out on the main street there are a variety of food restaurants/cafes to eat from and the hotel was only 30/20 mins from the beach.

Generally acceptable

Generally acceptable. Near to suitable eating outlets and easy to travel by bus due to bus stop just outside of the hotel. There is a grocery shop just across the road in front of the hotel. They are renovating the hotel so it looks a bit like a rundown building from the outside. Room is a bit small though for 3 adults and the split airconditioning unit did not seem to work during the hot Barcelona summer. Did not have any noise disturbances at night so we are still able to sleep even in the sweaty condition.

Service desk people were ok, but was noisy at mid-night and after 6AM (my room was right beside it). Otherwise, the room was fair for the price. P.S. Do not go to the supermarket right on the other side of the street. That owner stared at me since the moment I came into his store and he was rude.

Cheap and fair, but really needs some improvements

Barcelona is a city where you will spend so little time in the room that it's not really important how luxurious your accommodation is. Our main concern was to pay max 50 EUR / night / room and to have private bathroom. Positive - great location (close to 2 Metro stations: Universitat and Passeig de Gracia) - walking distance to Placa Catalunya, Passeig de Gracia, Casa Batllo, Pedrera, La Rambla - private bathroom - reception 24h, tourist maps and metro maps available at reception - small fridge + small lcd in the room, few channels in English (CCTV, Alljazeera, FranceTV) - towels changed everyday - hair dryer in the bathroom Negative - wi-fi present, but couldn't connect to it at any time of the day - room was small and smelled bad (as your great-grandmother's house) - our window view was a balcony used for storage so not directly outside

30 mins from beach 20 from las Ramblas. Lot of people living there with children ect. Staff are v relaxed can have guests and alcohol in room. Would recommend you don't leave money in external lockers- £10 here and there kept going missing for us (they have another key). I would stay nearer to the port if I was going again

Close to station, friendly staff

The room is quite basic but clean enough for a short stay. It has its own bathroom facilities which is good and the most important for travelling in summer, the air condition, is strong enough to give a good sleep. The staff is very friendly and let me use their bathroom for a quick shower even check out!!

DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL!!!

It was a waste of money. The hotel room is not even close to the pictures on the website. The reception and the rooms are on the third floor and they don't give you access to the tiny elevator claiming that their key does not work, so you have to go up and down the stairs with your luggage. The room was so tiny that there was no room between the beds, there are no curtains in the shower so the water splashes all over. The air conditioning unit was not working, I ask for a room change, they did not have it, they promissed they would repair it but that never happened during my two day stay. The staff was rude an unapologetic. Please save the grief and book your stay elsewhere.

It was a average hostel with clean rooms and great location but we had a problem with the noise from the adjacent rooms.
