Excellent value. In the heart of the Gothic quarter - bit touristy as expected. Room was small but had everything I needed. Heat blew cold air so I just turned off and used extra blanket that was provided.

Great place to stay in Barcelona! Only a couple minute walk to the metro & buses at Plaça Catalunya, close to a fantastic array of restaurants and bars, only half a mile from the beach! The staff were phenomenal and the room was spacious and clean. Will definitely return the next time we are in Barcelona!

Convenient location and wonderful staff

The hotel was a hidden gem. We happened to find it when our flight bumped us off and the stay at Airbnb couldn’t be extended. The staff was courteous, the room was clean and the hotel could accommodate us a little before time as we were lugging the luggage around. Excellent stay!!!

Not wheelchair friendly

I was disappointed with our stay in Hotel Nouvel. Whilst it is well situated for visiting the downtown places in Barcelona, it is not disabled friendly. It says on the Hotel.com page under accessibility that there is a lift, so assumed it was ok. But the lift is extremely tight for a wheelchair and as it is situated directly next to the main desk, hazardous for a w/c user to get in and out. The bathroom did not have any grab rails which is unsuitable for a disabled person and not conducive to normal patrons getting in and out of the slippery bath. I believe the hotel making an entry under accessibility behoves them to clarify how poor its services for disabled visitors is.

International charger in wall was so exciting to find. All the staff were super friendly. Convenient location to plaza, dining and right next door to the Spanish 7/11 Ale Hop. Great location to walk to the beach and also get a cab a few steps across the street.

Great little hotel in the old part of town. Walkable to almost everything you’d want to see. Wide variety of restaurants within a 10 minute walk. Staff was very helpful, gave me some pointers and got my cab for the airport. And even though it’s very central, it’s on an old side street that is very quiet especially at night.

Classic decor, very clean and well-maintained. Lots of hot water in the showers. There might be a bit of noise and smoke from the alley below if in a street-facing room. Staff were wonderful and very helpful, we asked to extend our stays and they accommodated us and even arranged so we wouldn't even have to check out. Fantastic area, just steps off the rambla and extremely walkable. We'll definitely return!

Perfect hotel and location

The hotel was wonderful! We arrived early morning and dropped our luggage in storage. The front desk staff was so helpful at deciding at how to see Barcelona. They gave great recommendations for bus tours, food, and must see highlights. The hotel was clean, lovely, and beds were so soft and comfortable. Highly recommend staying here. Perfect location for all the places to see Barcelona. Would stay here again next time I’m in Barcelona.

Very noisy, hallways echoed doors slamming, people conversations. Rooms extremely warm & shower a terrible experience. I would rate this hotel as a hostel more than a boutique hotel. I also would not recommend it.
