The hotel was well kept and clean. The staff was polite and attentive, and while we didn't chose the included breakfast, it looked good. Our only issues were the room has a slight smoke odor, as if smoking was formerly allowed in the room and the smell was just never completely mitigated. Also, the bathroom door in our room didn't close, the bath vanity was slightly too large for the space and the door simply would not shut. For the value of the hotel these were not deal breakers, and we still enjoyed out stay.

This definitely felt like more of a 3 star hotel and not 2. All the staff was very helpful and friendly and I loved the room designs. Public transport is also close. I would definitely stay here again.

The service was amazing at this hotel, they went above and beyond to make sure that we had a comfortable room and calling a taxi service when we needed it. Extemely welcoming, i will stay again when in Barcelona. The interior design of both the reception area and the rooms is also outstanding!

We were looking forward to four nights in Barcelona. Check-in on Wednesday evening was quick and pleasant. We dropped our bags and went to dinner, but when we returned and began unpacking, water suddenly poured from the bathroom ceiling as if the shower above had been turned on. It slowed to a drip, then started again like heavy rain. We reported it immediately. Maintenance arrived but seemed unsurprised, explaining it was due to the guests upstairs showering and assured us “the ceiling won’t come down.” The front desk said the hotel was fully booked, could not reach a manager, and expected us to sleep in a room we did not feel safe in. We had booked through Expedia and contacted them as well, but they could not get hold of the hotel either. At 10 p.m., we decided to leave. No one should be asked to spend the night in those conditions. Fortunately, we found another hotel nearby with availability. The next day Expedia informed us that the hotel had authorized only a partial refund, keeping $271 for the few hours we were in the room with the leaking ceiling. We’ve contacted the manager twice with no response. The hotel also never followed up to offer a different room or address the situation. We understand cancellation policies, but this was not a choice—it was a safety issue. Maintenance even admitted this wasn’t the first time it had happened in their 90-year-old building. The facade may look nice, but the lack of accountability and management response is unacceptable.

There is a cafe right opposite the hotel. The shops are 3-4 minutes walking distance. Main bus routes nearby. I had a standard room and upgraded for 25€ to a hamam room with a jacuzzi. Receptionist Luca helped us and made process very easy. The hamam room for 25€ is great and everything worked fine. Very relaxing. Hotel staff very pleasant, hotel smelt amazing. Overall great hotel good location good price and staff were good! Thank you! They spoke English and Spanish while we were there
