2 night stay Barnsley

I would have given 5 stars across the board but for two things. The bed is way to hard, this is a personal thing but you did ask. The other was the extractor in the bathroom did not work, i did report it but cannot expect it to get repaired on a weekend. Overall excellent value for money, happy & helpful staff, clean and spacious rooms

On arrival we had quite a wait to check in and get our room key due to only 1 member of staff working the reception and bar. The room was basic, a little tired and worn but comfortable. Disliked finding a half used toilet roll from previous guest!

Clean and modern, and close to M1

Clean and modern room, plenty of space and good facilities for the price! Only downside was the sound of the nearby M1 motorway, however that is pretty unavoidable in the circumstances, and I would stay again when in the area.

This property had bright rooms with colourful accents. The hotel was very clean. So nice to see colour instead of magnolia walls. The rooms were also a good size. Loved the little robots vacuuming on the carpets some days. My granddaughter named them :-) Breakfast was good. All staff were great. The lady with the long blonde hair (I think she was a manager) was very helpful and friendly with visitors and staff which makes a nice change to see a manager not ignoring staff or barking orders. This would be a definite choice next time we are in need of a hotel in this area. .

Very noisy at 4am. Couple arguing. Do you have cctv in the corridor? It sounded quite frightening. Surely security should be watching the cameras. The couple started arguing again at about 7am. Slamming doors and shouting at each other. I wanted to say something to them but that would have been dangerous. Really surprised that security didn’t intervene.

Checking in and receptionist tried to charge me an extra £40 when I paid online for the room. Lots of people shouting and just making noise throughout the night. As for the room it was clean and the bed was very comfortable and we loved the shower room. Also the bar lady was lovely.

Ok for a business trip. Breakfast is basic but passable, no cook to order. Evening meals are either small, not very good and expensive if you eat in the hotel, or there is a carvery over the car park where you can get lots of not very good but cheap!
