We booked two rooms for seniors and immunocompromised guests with asthma, hoping for a safe and restful stay. What we got instead was a clear sign that the hotel had already mentally closed its doors.
-Both rooms smelled musty, and visible mold appeared in the shower—an unacceptable risk for anyone, especially vulnerable guests. No one should be sleeping in that room closest to the pool
- The TVs in the other room didn’t work. Staff kept assuring us the on-call handyman would fix it, but no one ever showed up during our entire two-day stay.
-We were told the hotel was fully booked and couldn’t be moved to a room with a working TV. Yet that same night, their website showed available rooms.
- The pool was already closed, and we literally watched them take down the front business sign. It was clear no one cared what happened in this final week—they were checked out before we did.
